We went there for lunch every day during our stay in Stavros and the food was always freshly made and well prepared. Prices are reasonable for such a central spot directly beside the most popular Zorbas beach. Highly recommended! One of the best fried calamaries I have ever eaten. Fresh, perfectly fried. The French fries are crispy. The Grilled Octopus was also excellent. The Dimare salad is huge and delicious. We were there for lunch in a rainy day. The view is to the sea and it is beautiful. We ate gyros and fried calamari and it was very tasty. The best gyros. The portions were large and the prices are fair. There is a pool and sunbeds where you can have food and drinks when it is sunny. Enjoyed cocktails and lunch on a couple of occasions during our week in Stavros. My wife and I had lunches here almost every day over 2 weeks when we stayed in the area in Sep-Oct 2025. Not dinners because they were usually closed in the evenings since less tourists were there end of September. We tried almost every menu item. The food quality was excellent. The house wines were good too... ;) People working there were very friendly and personable, happy to explain specifics of various foods, and ready to recommend food to try. We developed friendships with some of them. The restaurant is located across a narrow road from Zorba's Beach. They have their own swimming pool and cabanas for rent (BTW at a lower cost than the stationary beach umbrellas, i.e. 20EUR vs. 35EUR). Highly recommend. We had an extraordinary time in Crete! We enjoyed a day at the beach, came to the pool bar for drinks periodically and finished our day at the restaurant. The owner treated us like family, did a shot of raki with us and everything that we ate was great. Highly recommend staying in the Stavros village where the locals treat guests like family. Service is great and fast. The staff are very kind. We have dined here twice so far and we’ll come again.
