Super chill vibe here - people from all walks of life. Cool place to watch planes blast off from PDX. Best inner city in Vancouver/Portland area. Super soft when the rivers high or low. When it’s low, there’s lots of to skip. Great place for ages. Only down side is you have to walk down to get to the beach... there’s no stairs. Not easy to access if you fear loose boulders and which is your only access route. Nice sandy which is cleaned often by the river tides and flooding from rain and snow melt. There are times when no is available. No handicap access. Good place to exercise or walk around. There are a few good restaurants too. We stopped here on our way from Portland to Seattle and were pleasantly surprised. It is nice little tucked away from the crowd. Clean beach, clean water, less turbulent waves and family crowd. The water temperature was perfect when we went in August. It's a great place to swim, lots of sand, currents not too strong. You must have sturdy legs to get to the sand. There is NO pathway. You literally have to climb down a pile of BUT that's what makes it better because not many people will trek down it. It's not much of a chore but you definitely need to have your balance or hold the concrete wall when you go up or down. What a surprise!! Quaint little near a paved walkway. Great for all ages but make sure u kiddos wear a lifevest. Walkable distance from Mcmenamins and beaches restaurants. I was Surprised to learn of this places existence. Small, easy access, wasn't crowded the other weekend when I went. Not huge, loud, or crowded, but that's what I like about it! It was beautiful and so sunny 🌄 we enjoyed the sun and .. it wasn't full like other beaches but it was a wonderful time we spent there Nice small beach. No shade. The part of Surprise (the sand) is not easy to reach! One must climb over jagged boulders to get there. There’s a large cement walkway above the beach. When I went, it was way too crowded. A lot of people walking dogs. Garbage cans overflowing with trash. And some nearby tenant was screaming at brown people saying “I pay my taxes…”. There was obvious homelessness going on in some bushes.Overall a crappy place. I wouldn’t take my kids there. Its a safe family water front place, lots of sand. Gives you a sense of being at beach. The water is clean.. no .. perfect for little ones to jump in and go crazy. People float around, cruise..etc. airport os close by so every 10 minutes there is a plane flying up your heads. I come here because my daughter is 4 year old and she loves sand, building castles. Playing with water. Nice small with a park and walking trails. Went there today. I bet it would be packed during the summer! amazing beach, it's nice. you can go on walks, the view, the there. its like river vibe but overall, I love to visit there as just nice relax time at the beach. Really nice view, Had a great time in the sun, went swimming and relax for a while, The only thing I don’t like is the only way to get down there is that you have to go down a pile of sharp and big rocks… One of my favorite little quiet spots. Loving taking my dog to run or watch the sunset. Such a great place and a great place for kids to swim and there is always parking 😀☺️ Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
