This is the best place to have a picnic and the natural beauty of all the plants and the volunteers have made so beautiful. There are plenty of places to sit and some fresh air and sunshine or shade. There is plenty of parking. You'd never know this was just off the beaten path. you can visit anytime of year. There are occasional art events here and a great plant sale every spring. There's a path which meanders north and I just discovered recently. You can wander through the trees and nature just minutes from the city. It's peaceful and beautiful, even if it's a small circle. It is fairly easily traversed by most people. We visited during the wet half of the year and it wasn't muddy or hard to walk any part of it...being fairly flat as well. Parking is and so long as there is no event occurring...fairly easy to find a spot. The lot is gravel though and it can be difficult for those with mobility challenges to get to the from it. This was our first here. We were having our newest additions to our family, a long for Family Pictures from a photographer! The numerous places to get good photos were Excellent and such care was taken at this wonderful Relaxing place! We had our 3 grandkids that are all 4 and under and they were all entertained! I would like to go back with my wife and just Together without any type of age day that Had to be done! Very Beautifully kept place. adjacent to forest with huge trees, random mushrooms, and a gully that seemed cavernous. Nice place for an afternoon stroll I was in the area and needed a place to wait for about an hour. This couldn't have been a better place. A real gem in a small town. They have each area of this sectioned into different areas for relaxation. This is a nice place to alleviate stress. I visited this botanical today for the first time, and I could not stop taking photos...this place is amazing! The grounds are absolutely beautiful! It is very apparent that whomever tends the grounds puts alot of heart and soul into doing so, and I want to say thank you to them, because I was at such peace here, and I needed that ❤️ There are signs throughout the that inform you of the type of you are in, and what type of birds/wildlife the foliage and in it attract, as well as the name of the flower/plant you are looking at, which I found extremely helpful, seeing as I am always looking for new ideas for my own yard. There are several greenhouses, and a composting site here too. I really enjoyed being in the bird attraction section; super serene! Birds everywhere! There were squirrels, butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees throughout the grounds too. There is also a densely wooded forest area with trees and ferns everywhere! It reminded me of hiking trails along the coast. A woman in the same as me, said she had been coming here for some now, and told me that the hold all sorts of classes and learning seminars; that she had been to several, and they were fun and informative. She also said to definitely come check out the with each changing season to see all of the different blooms. I will 100% be back...probably this weekend 😊 I know I missed a few different areas, and this place is too not to see everything it has to offer. What a treasure, NatureScaping of SW Washington is, also called Wildlife Botanical Gardens! themed planting areas, lush forest, natural lake habitat....a feast for the eyes and a wonderful place to soak in the beauty of God's creation! My favorite garden. Ever. I stumbled onto this last year and have come back a few more times. Different beauties during spring, summer, fall. Just came back today, I love that it has so many different flowers, colors, trees, play together so well as its name NatureScaping. Thanks to the amazing volunteers and workers!! The cow farm across the road adds to its country charm. The feeling of being out in the country, not a park in a busy suburb. Very few people here, admission, big parking lot, I almost want to not write a review, keep it as my own private get away. What a NatureScaping of SW Washington Botanical is! My mother-in-law, and I were delighted by all of flowers, plants, and landscapes! It is well kept, and whimsical! I would love to bring her back, again, when we have more time, to see it all! It was nice to get to see this hidden treasure! It was quiet, calming and uplifting to be able to get grounded and balance the rest of my chakras. I was able to see so many different plant species and them . The bees were out and about and there is even different examples of composting available to see. Great place to take your family, friends or even visit on your own. Please be mindful and respectful of how loud you are when you arrive and while walking through. If you go out through the other side and keep going, there is a wooded area with trails to walk through. 💗 Always to enter! This is my favorite place to go after dinner. Sitting there to the flowers,birds and trees. It is like a paradise. I love the wide variety of planted here in different habitats. They're all connected with winding pathways. There's lots of information about bees, butterflies, composting & other environmental topics. It's next to the Battle Ground School District's CASEE Center. I was there for "Art in the Garden", a special, annual summer event. It was a lovely place to visit but it was a very hot couple of days so the weren't happy but go after it's rained I bet it's gorgeous.! A out of the way natural space with tons of opportunities for investigations of a scientific nature. My wife and I walk here all the time. It’s basically our go-to place for fresh air and some exercise. With so much development going just south of here there are fewer and fewer green spaces to visit and have a place to play, walk, learn, and take in aesthetics—unless you want to drive 30-45 minutes, pay for parking if you can find it, etc. That these are community education and involve youth and our school system (in the alternative school at the same location), you cant even put a price on how valuable this resource is. Visit, learn, enjoy, promote it, and preserve it. This is such a valuable resource for our community! Amenities: Beautiful sustainable with themes and education what grows there, maintained forest trails (wood chips, not mud), gravel trails around 2 lakes, amphitheater, forest/preservation/gardening education. Next door at the CASEE Center: Old Growth Forest trail, Riparian Restoration Project, educational farms, and other nature projects. Down the road is a dog park with a Port-a-Potty (and the Groth Family Nature Preserve Forest trails behind that). I really enjoyed visiting this garden, it's gorgeous and I want to thank all the staff and volunteers who maintain it! I can tell a lot of love and is put into the garden.
