The staff was very friendly and helpful! The building was very clean and the animals were very well taken care of! We adopted a dog a year ago and adopted two cats a week ago! 10 out of 10, would totally recommend My roommates dog went missing, was found next day by website picture..a friend was looking at dogs recently picked up and there was Licorice!!! My cat that I adopted from there has farted on me 3 times since I brought him home though I can't blame HSSW. Staff was extra nice and very helpful. 10 out of 10 would adopt from them again. Drove an hour and they randomly closed without updating google maps hours or their website. Call before coming so you don’t waste 2 hours round trip of your Saturday plus gas money. She is loving becoming a Jackson & we are loving watching it❤️ I have a male chawowa who I was going to breed with my new member of my family a tea cup chawowa and the humane society has now made that imposible for me to do. Let me first put it out there that I realize it's my responsibility to keep my pets inside the fence ,but unfortunately the gate was left open and my papito walked away from the yard and was picked up on the 9th of March. He was placed in the lost and found in which I was grateful for. I called the humane society gave them his ID number ,my phone number ,name adress and claimed the dog as being mine ,I stated I would be there when they open back up for business. Closed on mon. And tue, I went to pick him up on Wed the 12th. They asked if I could identify him I said yes , paptito came to me by name but did not have the umbilical hernia any more , they told me it was surgicaly removed after they neutered him. What !!!! You neutered my dog having him one business day ? They replaced the chip he had in him with one of there's and renamed my dog Rosco. They totally changed my dog identity . They told me they would wave all fees if I would sign adoption papers. What!? You want me to adopt my own dog? No way !! I will be back with an attorney . They gave no appualagy they were more worried about a law suit then the fact they took my dogs identity and made him no longer a breeder. That was not there choice to make ! My dog has been home 12 days and is a total different dog. We love our paptito no matter what but we do miss our old papito . Now he lays around with no spunk he's snapping at my other dogs. I pray he returns back to who he was before the humane society got there hands on him. I'm putting this out there to the public so your all aware of the possibilities of loosing your animal if you leave them in the humane society for t I long . My papito was there for 1 business day had it been longer he would have been adopted out. If you love your animal and want he or she back act fast before it's to late..
