Fun place, great time at Rainier Daze in the Park. Fireworks are spectacular! Waited 45 to listen to a band, they were warming up and warming up and warming up, gave up, got back just in time to watch the fireworks from the marina dock. I was born and raised 4 blocks from the park. In fact, I'm so old, I was going to school when it was made...twice. I lived through Mt. St. Helens blowing up and that's what made our park. I use to take my kids and my grandchild all the time until I moved. Now I still go for special occasions. We love it there. My Dad still takes my Grandchildren down for me. My grandson will soon be playing baseball there. My son did for a couple yrs and so did my granddaughter. It has Tennis Courts, Basketball, Baseball, Ramps for bikes, scooters, skates and skateboards. It also has a beautiful path to walk on, a huge field to play in, horseshoe pits, 2 playgrounds for little and bigger kids and benches to sit and watch it all or stare at the Mighty Columbia and it's beauty and all the ships, boats, and wildlife. Stop in and enjoy. My band played at the Rainier summer fair held at the park. It’s about 45 minutes northwest of Portland on the (dirty) route 30. The spacious sits alongside the mighty Columbia River. Can’t say much about the facilities as I’ve only been here during the city festival with tiltawhirls and elephant ears but it is always clean and friendly. We went for Ranier Days and although the is very nice I have to say the rides there were horrible and broken down and the cost for kids ride bracelets were ridiculous. Most of the rides for the little kids were shut down due to break downs that it was pointless to purchase the ride bracelets and nothing was even mentioned to us when purchasing the bracelets that most all of the rides were shut down! But technically this happened at Rainier days and should reflect the by itself so that's why I gave it 4 stars because it's a very nice as a without Rainier Days going on! The prettiest (and possibly one of the only) in Rainier to take pictures, meet friends, bring kids, or see the river. Such a beautiful area! Came here while passing through the area on a beautiful spring day. There's a nice little sandy beach at this along the Columbia River. While on the beach I saw a sea lion and a few bald eagles, it was amazing. It's also a great spot to watch the passing cargo ships. There is a playground, bathroom, little league field, basketball court, tennis court, and frisbee golf area. No fees. I've been out that way 12 times and I live in Illinois. This time for some reason I noticed the down the way. I decided to go down there on my last day and sit. It was beautiful and peaceful. The next time I'm out there I'll definitely be hanging out there for a little bit It is a great place for the whole family. With open fields, a playground,tennis court, and a skatepark. Lots of parking, round about walking trails up and down the Columbia rivers' scenic views. It's a must stop if you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy this summer. Two restaurants in walking distance and a few bars for the adult.
