This is not a family friendly establishment. There are no rules posted anywhere, no information given up front, and the staff is extremely rude when asking to change behavior. How do you feed a toddler a drink and food when there is no seating at the counter and the counter is 4 1/2 feet tall? Please learn to effectively communicate and brush up on your customer service skills. Don’t treat people like they are combative before you even talk to them. We were barked at for having food/drink at our chairs, and for our 3 year old dancing down the side of the lane- like we should have known better despite there being no posted rules or information given up front. None of the three we were on counted correctly. Took 15 minutes to switch lanes, just for those to not work either. Never were given an extension on the we lost so we only bowled 1 game, nor were refunded for the that don't work. Skip this place, the don't work and the staff doesn't care. The alley is super clean and the ran smoothly with no hiccups. We enjoyed the different types of games. The staff are friendly and very efficient despite missing a key employee from their kitchen. Food is good and fair priced. We ordered fries, Mac & cheese bites, mozzarella sticks & a chicken bacon artichoke pizza. We paid $35 per hour for a lane and the shoe rental was included on a Saturday night. The alley wasn’t overcrowded. flew by too fast. They also had some arcade games and air hockey but we did not try those out. There was karaoke in the bar area. We will definitely be back. Thank you! We loved this place, it’s fun great to spend family time. Growing up and watching my parents bowl league, we would spend a lot of here when I was in high school. Getting the chance to return to Vancouver and experiencing the my son and I have spent here has been a blessing in many ways. Thanks to all the staff who made the evening I spent with my son, Kodiak, a fun and memorable time. The blonde bartender nicest and friendliest bartender I've ever come across anywhere I've gone. Best in town! Great alley food, beer, and an excellent pro shop! My granddaughter bowls for her school, and several schools bowl at the same time, the problem for me is the service in the snack bar area, one person working back there is so crazy. Waiting for your food for over 25 minutes is unacceptable, this person is running a register and cooking, and not once did I see this person wash their hands, even if they are wearing gloves, holes still Can get into those gloves. Still need to wash your hands after changing your gloves. One person is not enough help in the snack bar when you have over 65 girls and 40 parents watching. Please get some help. And it was just fries .... we waited for.... Terrible customer service. The server takes our and throws a fit when asking for new since he took our cups. Rowen the guy with brunette short hair and glasses that worked night shift July 24 had a terrible tone. We asked new he stacked up our and getting ready to take them to the back. We weren’t sure who’s in the stack so we asked for new cups. He immediately got offended and started ranting about how our drinks were in the lane area next to us… where no one was. It wasn’t. He could’ve asked if those were our cups, but he didn’t. Weird part was it was obvious that we were still working on our drinks, the pitcher was FULL. We were just trying to get new cups. Simple request. preferably without the negative rude attitude. 👀 Great place to bowl . Staff in the bar are super nice . But they changed the frys about a month ago and the new ones are gross . Go back to the old ones . I have been going here for 30 years . I love hazel dell ! Have purchased several balls from stoneys pro shop. He does a excellent job drilling and fitting the balls. He is very friendly and easy to deal with. The are on good condition. The only minus is there are so many leagues that it can be a challenge to get a lane. But it is will worth when you can. Awesome Experience!! Dan, Jessa, and Dominic were super friendly and welcoming. Dan even helped us with our form!! Highly Recommend. The front desk attendants at around 8pm were absolutely wonderful, they made my experience so much better. I couldn’t ask for a better experience!!!! Thank you front desk attendants!!! Caleb and Treuce were great front desk attandents. Very friendly guys and a good spot to go for a good time.
