What a gorgeous park! Tall, mature fir are everywhere, which give the feel of being out in the woods. The sound of wind rustling through the trees, and birds chirping all around literally drowned out any city sounds. It was a pleasant surprise, and a peaceful experience! There are 2 different areas that I saw, as well as a couple open field areas too. There is a large shelter that you can reserve (I took a photo of the sign next to the shelter with reservation information, should you be interested in doing so), as well as of tables, and benches throughout. Everything looked in good condition, and I didn't see one piece of trash. This has an old school feel about it due to all the beautiful fir trees; something not so common in city parks anymore, so I definitely recommend checking it out! 👍🏼 This place was like a time capsule,the sheer size of the tree aline will attest to this. The facilities are in great shape, and the trail has of grades up and down to walk park.. stopped there and relaxed and ate my gyro.. then continued on.. Every time I come to this I get a bad vibe and just want to leave. The entryway and parking lot is full of potholes. People smoke in the and awful music. That being said...it has a pretty playground. There are of tables, covered and uncovered. One of the shelters has a sink with running water. The here are amazing, really tall, and provide of shade. There is also a big open grassy area. I enjoyed walking the trail that went up the hill through the forest. I heard lots of different types of birds singing in the trees. I even saw some trillium flowers. Very clean, safe wooded with covered gathering area and public restrooms. Тихий красивый парк, все есть. The potholes in the parking area are so huge that I hit one and it shredded my tire. It cost me $150 to replace the tire! I'm not happy! place to just sit and relax underneath the trees. It is a great place to go with a friend for a short walk on the upper and lower trails. Lots of people here in the shelters. There is a playground. I have not seen homeless folks tenting in any hidden areas, as some other city parks have now. A caretaker actually lives here full-time. Bathroom facilities are seasonal, but there are temporary portable outhouses during off-season. for kids to on. Very shaded for hot days. There are two shelters, both available to rent and reserve for special occasions. One seats 100 and the other seats 50. We are hosting an event at this next month and are looking forward to it. Their stance on using the barbecues is a bit confusing however. There are a few throughout the but there are also signs saying not to use them. Seems like they should just get rid of them if they can’t be used, but perhaps it is a seasonal thing. This is a great little nestled on the south side of a hill. It can be a little dark because it is in a group of pines. The structures, there are two, are great for 2 to 5 and 5 to 12. There is a small trail that loops up and down the hill. Nice place to spend a few hours. Many parks in Vancouver feel very close to the road which can make activities less pleasant, but this one is nicely tucked away. This is a lovely, secluded-feeling with lots of trees, room to run and play, some decent equipment and trails for walking or riding. The shelters are in good shape, and I noticed a restroom building though I didn't make use of it. There's a renovation project coming up, so hopefully this great gets even nicer. **"Our tax dollars pay for this community and they have LOCKED the bathroom and turned off the water. The people that Host this place do not clean up very well either, I've been here first thing in the morning and there's still garbage from the day before laying around. There are some trails leading around the and were swept clean to walk, with a medium sized open grassy space good for walking the dog. I was a little creeped out by the camper on the premises and a few houses that are practically built in the park. There is parking, please be careful the parking lot has big potholes that would be impossible to see with puddles or snow. Overall a quiet little with a few trash bins toward the front and a covered spot. Thumbs up for dogs walks.
