We couldn't find exactly what I needed so I bought something that was close that might work. Then I bought a whole bunch of other stuff. The stopper did not fit and when I tried to return it, less than a week later, they created all kinds of drama. I had to wait more than 30 minutes to see two different employees and then the owner of the store. The owner was very rude and not great at communicating. He refused to refund my purchase. And he waved his hand at me in my face in dismissal. The stopper was $3.50. So for $3.50 he lost a customer for life by being difficult and offensively rude. Got a lot of separate businesses and amenities in a close proximate location so more than one thing on your list can be taken care of in no time. Gas prices at Safeway are competitive from other places in the area so no need to have go to another location after shopping. There is a great selection of stores here providing fast food, hair cuts, veterinary care, a premium pet boutique, Safeway, Ace Hardware and Safeway gas pumps, plus a shipping and nail salon. I'd give it a 5, but traffic flow through the north entrance is so dangerous. Also, the parking lot floods horribly on the north end when it rains hard. Needs serious safety upgrades. Went here to Ace hardware. Staff was okay. One very nice older man was very kind and observant and inquired if he could assist me. He did and then found the person who could complete the service. Most staff did not seem to know the or items very well. That one man probably could have run the on his own with his personable skillset. Perhaps he should do the training of other personnel to keep that valuable skillet alive. I like this place for the things nobody has. UnLike customer service. I can get more help at winco bagging my food than a hello here. Smile and nod to 2 employees to get quick head turn side eye and walk faster to escape. This place had 2 other customers. See 3 or 4 people working. Hmmm. 😐 I did have a question but used my awesome skills and just looked some more. I should not have to do much more than eye contact and a what's up nod to engage an employee to ask me if i need help. Might try my local hard wear next round. I said might. I lied. They do carry some off things you can't find very easily. But when you're hunting down the right part you need and looking at two isles of Ben's, it's nice to get a quick this section here. As for me, it was the very last section after I checked them all. Lol. "LU" AKA MANAGER. good man friendly, great customer care. His employees not so much Love this place amazing of what they have and always good service I gave this place 2 stars because the location is great if you live in north Vancouver but their customer service is incredibly insulting. They profile their customers and than follow them around assuming they are going to steal. I've been going to this for 10 years and now will only go there if I can't make it to another hardware store. Their employees are too busy following people around that they can never help you if you have a question or need help. I've been to numerous Ace hardware stores and have always had great customer support...Ace hardware in Salmon Creek needs to treat their customers with respect since after all customers are the reason they can stay open.
