The menu included a sizable selection of regional tasty food and had English translations of the items. It was served fresh and quickly. The staff was a bit stuffy (no pun intended :-) but I think it was due to the fact that they spoke no English and had limited means of communication. Nice location, food could be more fine tune but all ok;) This place its beautiful, very traditional to Slovak culture, but we been very disappointed by the food. The child portions should be much smaller not like adult portions. Our food wasn't hot, tasteless or too salty, and some food looked and tasted old. Also a little corner inside for the kids could have a bit more toys or at least smthg more entertaining. Great and spacious rooms that are close by to lots of activities. They have a decent kids play area with quite a few different animals. We also ate at the koliba and the food and service was great. The girls were extremely polite and attentive. Since opening this place has gone a long way down hill. Staff are efficient but act like they don't want to be there. The food is nothing like you'd expect from a Slovak restaurant, it's tasteless, poorly presented and uses low quality ingredients. The building itself is very charming and with good managers and a new chef the place could easily be improved. Really good food for low cost This place is amazing. Receptionist was super helpful as we did not have reservations and they were at full capacity. Dinner at the restaurant was authentic Slovak, really good. Breakfast was plenty full all you can eat constantly being replenished. Oh, and the apartmant we got was heavenly, clean, 2 tourettes. We stopped for lunch. Restaurant was half full. Service was on time, Soups were very tasty. Main dish for kids was average nothing special but size was big. In general, food is little above average also the prices above average in this part of country.
