A lovely location with excellent parking, its a small to the waterfall and requires a steep, downward climb to get down to the river bank, It shaded and the river noise is magnafied as its completely cover in. Some nice walks and you can there too, cheers Nice country picnic spot. FREE parking right before you enter the water, be careful. its quite slippery & muddy & a slope before enteringthe water. Beautiful, clean 👌 & fresh .. Not very private (you can see the wster from the carpark )...changed in car 🚗 Nice spot. We brought our dogs. Where you park, there is a few picnic tables. And then you down a hill there is a lovely little waterfall with a spot for swimming. Loads of people in today. It's deep in parts, where people were jumping in, then down further it's shallow. Over a bridge, there is a forest walk, short enough id say around 30 min walk. And you can reach the waterfall that way aswell. Our dogs got in for a swim. Nice place with plenty of parking.. there is a mobile sauna there on the weekends too and a great place to have a Nice place for a picnic or if you're brave enough you could get in for a swim. There's a short across the bridge where you can along the river. A Hidden Gem for a Refreshing Escape I'm a regular visitor to the Catholes Waterfalls. It's an absolutely brilliant spot for a cold dip, especially surrounded by such natural beauty. I always make sure to book a slot with the mobilesaunas.ie located there. The contrast between the cold plunge and the heat of the sauna is unbeatable. A perfect way to reset and recharge. Highly recommend! We love going over to Cathole Falls. It's like a hidden gem. The water falls are amazing and there's so much area to scramble and explore if you are into that sort of thing. Would highly recommend paying a visit! Lovely place to visit and has a forest on fairly flat ground . Place to also real autumn is coming Nice cold water. Lovely family place and very clean green area Great for a dip on a hot day, there was a few sauna’s you could book here if you want. No problem parking and had a relaxing visit. Close to other scenic spots in the Slieve blooms also Peaceful, calm and quiet, lovely picnic area and plenty of parking. Fabulous place for a (trying to into the waterfall is fun) or a dip. Ladders to climb in and out. Shallow area for paddling too. We were able to park our motor home and spend some time here after the swim.
