Their oils are amazing — a must-visit for true oil lovers! We had an incredible experience at Protoulis Master Oil Makers, thanks in large part to the exceptional hospitality and professionalism of Vlasios Nisiotis. I was able to book a tasting and for a group of 18 online, and from start to finish, Vlasios went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. His email communication was clear, prompt, and thoughtful, and he followed up multiple times to ensure all of our needs and accommodations were being met. He even contacted our hotel to assist with transport options, which was a huge help since we were traveling from about an hour away. It was absolutely worth it! The was fascinating and eye-opening. We walked away with a much deeper appreciation for the incredible care, craftsmanship, and labor that goes into producing high quality oil. The facility also has a rich history, which made the visit even more meaningful. The highlight of the day was the oil tasting led by Vlasios himself. His knowledge and passion were inspiring, and we learned so much about how to evaluate oils by smell, taste, and quality. Everyone in our group ended up purchasing oil to bring home - it truly was that good! This was an unforgettable experience that combined education, tradition, and true Cretan hospitality. Really enjoyed learning about the oil making process. The new experimential ouzo flavoured oil was a real treat. Also privileged to see to the factory in operation due to the late harvest still bringing in olives. Would definitely recommend.
