Car park are a little bit far away Been here 10 years ago (to a different part) it was lovely and relaxing then, it seems to have become much more commercial with several car parks and costly snack bar. Car parking is far away and there is no accessibility - we had to down a long, dangerous (steep road on a blind bend) to get to the entrance - so hectic with cars and people! cost was 18 euros for 3 of us, it’s all steep slippery steps so you need to be very fit and in trainers with good grip. Nice walks you can start from the bottom, middle or at the top. We started at the bottom. in the heart of Rhodes hills. I would an early start to beat the crowds and cars that arrive mid morning. The is about 1 hour to 1 hour 30 round trip if you take it easy. Most of the are in the upper valley, take an information leaflet when you pay your 6€ (Sept 2025) entrance fee to read the short write up on the valley. The sight of thousands of resting on the trees is absolutely breathtaking and something you don’t see every day. The is easy and suitable for families, with spots to rest along the way. The fresh air and natural beauty make it a perfect break from the busy tourist spots. Staff are friendly and keep the area well maintained. Tip: in the morning for a quieter experience and wear comfortable shoes for the paths. Highly recommended for lovers and photographers! Visited here on a day trip, was an incredible place with extremely friendly staff. The was much longer than expected and is split into two sections which you can use the same ticket for. Ticket price for adults is €6.00 each. The views, landscape and scenery was beautiful. Not forgetting the 🦋 all around. It was an extremely hot day due to heat wave, so this did stop a lot of the flying around but was still the visit. I’d 100% wearing trainers or suitable footwear as the stairs to different sections are extremely steep. We also saw a few tumbles along the way. Definitely a visit. In all fairness didn’t see that many but the was very scenic and calm. Only a few people were about. At the top and the bottom of the trail were places to sit down and order drinks. When it comes to on Rhodes, this is indeed an interesting valley. The trail consists of two stages: you through a gorge among trees and shrubs, along a stream, with the occasional small waterfall or pond. Wooden footbridges, benches to rest on, and the occasional butterfly create a pleasant atmosphere. However, the path goes uphill, with plenty of stone steps, so in 40°C heat (we had 49°C that day – we wanted to cool down) this activity is not for everyone. At the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of the trail, there are toilet facilities (they cost €0.50 – a bit of a pity that it’s not free when you eat in the restaurant or in the park), restaurants, and rest areas. We had a coffee, and it was okay. In August 2025, the entrance fee is €6. You uphill in a crowd, on a stone path, and “admire” the charms of the valley. If it's busy here it would be a bit of a nightmare like the ingleton waterfall trail in Yorkshire.... when quiet, hell. when busy Very nice place to in , is a good place to cool yourself, we have been there in august so outside were 45 degrees . It’s a place for lovers , you can see the only 3 months/ year ( I put photo ) you will need like 1-1.5 hours to all , there are 2 parts of the park , is better to take from below and to go up to the hill , price is 6€/ person . Come here in JUNE until AUGUST because there are NO any other time of the year!!! Very beautifull uphill and when you get to the end be shure to up to the emergency exit, it was open for everyone and there is a beautifull monastery when you go up the road. Definitely checking out! Ps; no tp in the bathrooms at the monastery. A fine, yet challenging though a unique setting. Although quite a trek it was pleasant to be under the cover of trees on yet another scorching day on the island of Rhodes. Good value-for-money experience too. The may be challenging, but I guarantee every moment will be it. Also, due to the forested area, the humidity inside is quite high, so be prepared to sweat! Bringing extra clothes could be a good idea. The journey to the is just as remarkable as the destination itself, but the road is quite bumpy and winding. If you're prone to motion sickness, it's something to be mindful of before setting out. Besides the butterflies, you can also spot some adorable little crabs along the path. Be careful while walking or driving not to accidentally step on or run over them. They're a lovely part of the valley’s charm and deserve just as much attention. Lovely trails with stunning and enviroment, only downside was the amount of high steps but it was very it even tho we visited before the actual butterfly hatching.
