The tower gives a great overview of the locks and dykes that are part of the Delta Works. There is a lot of technology in controlling the mixing of fresh and salt water, including bubble walls. The tower is also a work of art. There are loads of metal fish built into the handrail and side guards, that turn into birds as you go up the tower. Excellent view point! To be honest, I couldn't describe in words how beautiful and breath taking the view was. You got enough privacy since not many people know about this place. I personally would recommend you to go on any weather conditions since it would be awesome to experience that.on your own. It doesn't look high from below but once you climb the stairs up, you will realise how tall that tower really is. Great views over the sluices that connect Goree Overflaake to Sint Philipsland. Take a walk down to the bird hide that could double as Hagrids cabin. 😁😁 Great tower.
