ARA is a great organization run by wonderful people, doing fantastic rescuing hundreds of every year, placing them with vetted forever families. I live volunteering; walking and socializing and cats. ARA is one of the best shelters I‘ve ever visited! The they do to take of abandoned and mistreated of the Algarve is so selfless and should be highly appreciated. The and are treated really great, the kennels are nice with only two per kennel and every day to roam in the parks. If you ever think of adopting an animal, want to do or just want to visit, this is the place to go! The is truly amazing and doing is a great experience, I wouldn’t want to have missed in my life. Keep up the good ;) Volunteering at ARA has been an incredibly heartwarming and fulfilling experience. The facilities are immaculate and thoughtfully designed to ensure the comfort and happiness of every animal. The are the most compassionate and dedicated I've ever met, treating each animal with immense love and care. The adoption process is handled with great care, ensuring every pet finds a loving home. I feel truly blessed to have the possibility to be part of such a wonderful place and highly encourage everyone to support this amazing shelter! I volunteered at this amazing place for 3 weeks and loved every second of it. The organization and treatment and training of the was unlike any rescue I have seen. The were all amazing to with and all share such a passion for these animals. I will definitely be returning in the future:) ARA is such a magnificent place, you will hardly find anything like it. No effort is too big and no animal does not deserve it. Contributing to this as a has been so rewarding and memorable and heart filling that I cannot help but keep going back for more. The facilities, the atmosphere, the property, the way everything is being handled with so much empathy, kindness and respect towards and especially animals, is just incredible. This community is filled with so much love, joy, and care, and it’s an honor to be part of it each year. 🧡 I spent two weeks at Animal Rescue Algarve (ARA) as a volunteer, and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life! I was incredibly impressed by the dedication of the volunteers and, of course, the staff. It’s heartwarming to see how lovingly everyone takes of the animals. A huge thank you to everyone involved – your deserves so much respect and appreciation!!! The are very well cared for. A dog trainer visits at least once a week to with the dogs. They are housed in large kennels, usually in pairs, which are cleaned once or twice a day. During the day, the usually get two walks a day and can play in large parks with other dogs. The can be a bit demanding at times, but it is always enjoyable, and there is plenty of to socialize with the and afterward. The facility itself is beautiful – you can even use the pool if the weather is nice. The accommodation is also nice, although sometimes the volunteers do not leave the accommodation as clean as they should. Overall, I can highly recommend this to both potential adopters and future volunteers. I will miss this place dearly and am already looking forward to hopefully returning soon! <3 ARA is genuinely the best I have ever visited. All the and are cared for in the best way by the dedicated, hard-working and passionate volunteers. All the facilities on site are more than well-kept and are constantly improved; the same goes for the running and organization of the shelter. There are never more than two in one kennel; each dog is socialized and walked daily and gets to spend in one of the spacious parks. I adopted a dog from ARA around two years ago and could not be happier with the decision. The adoption process was very smooth and the has always been there for my questions - and they are still happy to get regular updates on how Rasta is doing in Germany :) I can't wait to be back for another visit soon! The are so passionate & dedicated, making sure that all in their are looked after to a very high standard, and showing real kindness to and people. I was very impressed with the facilities & how well organised the place is, and that they have a professional dog trainer who teaches the volunteers how to train and help improve their behaviour for adoption. I really saw how and thrive at ARA, it was an awesome experience. Having worked for a several charities, I can say without a doubt that this is an absolutely fantastic charity to volunteer/support/visit/adopt from Volunteering here was one of the best things I’ve ever experienced! It’s a great group of animal lovers who always prioritize the comfort of the animals. The live in very large kennels and the are also housed in lovingly furnished catteries. Both are cleaned twice a day. During the day the are in large parks and go on walks twice a day. The wonderful and volunteers take very good of the and so they are very well socialized. 2 months ago I adopted my dog Boneca from ARA and it was one of the best decisions I made in my life.
