Loved the teachers and how they were always ready to help and resolve questions. They are very professional and by their classes and CVs you can see they are very good in what they do. The library has a lot of light and its not small. Their Erasmus department and agreements are one of the advantages. The campus is very big and its only one campus, they have a huge one inside the city center. Plus its sunny all the time here so... . I like a canteens food, it's cheap and you have always vegetarian options. Food is under 3 €. Professors are friendly. Only I am not happy about academic service which is quite unable to solve situation quickly and effectively. Very few online options to solve any situation and small support. Also mobility office has very nice workers but things took amazingly long when I needed something. Hope they will improve this. Nice people there. It's a good campus for students. Good Standard but old building Podia ter mais e melhores estacionamentos, mas de resto é muito bom I was admitted to the Master’s in Computer Engineering at the of Algarve (UAlg) and paid my registration, insurance, and tuition fees. Unfortunately, my student visa was refused by the Portugal Embassy, and when I contacted the for a refund or deferral, I was informed that there is no refund policy and no semester deferment option. When I submitted my fees, no information about refund or deferral policies was mentioned on the university’s website or in the online admission portal, nor was I informed through email. This lack of transparency has caused me significant financial and academic stress. I hope the improves its communication with international students and clearly displays all policies before collecting payments. This is such a dirty and pathetic Algarve that they gave more than 2 months’ time just to say that the result would be published 2 months after the submission of the fee, which was €50. I don’t understand, on the portal they gave the date as 22 July, but they told me my result by email only on 25 or 26 July, and that too after I kept emailing them. The most surprising thing is that the result for the September intake is based on the documents you submitted along with the €50 fee, if you’re selected, it’s based purely on that OMG. But even if you do get selected, as an international student, when will you file your visa? There are still other procedures left, registration, and paying the remaining fees. For filing a visa, you need almost 60 days, but here they’re just running a scam, charging €50 for the application fee, and after such a long wait, they reject you with the reason that your documents were incomplete. When I asked which documents I supposedly didn’t submit, they gave no proper answer. They are pathetic and ignorant. They do this just for the €50. The admission spots are already filled during Phase 1, and in the later phases, they just want your money. Many other candidates have reported the same thing, but they don’t care. They should be banned. They are scammers, the worst and dirtiest in Portugal. Do not apply here, you will just waste your money.
