Teatro das Figuras

Faro, Portugal Auditorium

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. One of the very few places in the algarve to have professional culture. With easy parking! Lovely place. Shame it's never full. And a works poorly. feels stuffy. Small modern which hosts all kind of shows throughout the year. It's curatorship is sometimes inescrutable in its strategy, and shows don't seem to have much coherence nor establish a dialogue between them (and are quite spaced out). But one will eventually find something of interest in its program. The ticket office is inside the foyer. There is a small bar/café to the left, and toilets are one floor down. The whole building is accessible. The building was designed by arch. Gonçalo Byrne and opened in 2005 when the city was elected European Capital of Culture. It is not only the best equiped of Faro, but also of the Algarve, allowing the region to widen the range of shows it can host. It's name "Teatro das Figuras", was borrowed from a nearby heritage building known as Palácio das Figuras, both palace and standing in the same former estate. There is a convenient car park behind it. Nice and a good location. It was nice to get there early and have a glass of wine before the show and the restrooms were clean. The seats were comfortable and the lighting was excellent. Nice active place with many good cultural activities Ballet was exceptional, the hard work and practice that had gone into delivering this performance really paid off. Superb. Although it's a small the acoustics are simply one of the best to experience a concert for either calmer songs or more aggressive songs. I was truly impressed. The seats aren't the best but are confortable enough for it to not be an issue. If you have the opportunity to watch a concert or a play on this venue definitely give it a shot. Hint: don't go for the seats nearer to the stage since they are considerably lower than the stage. The start of the 2nd seats block is the sweet spot for the best experience. As for quality of life aspects there's plenty of space to park your car near it and the restrooms are well maintained. Simple, basic and unadorned theatre, but perfectly functional. There is also a cafe on site. We went for The Nutcracker ballet show. Despite that the production was quite mediocre from the local dancing company, and there was not a symphony, no ice-cream seller during the interval, it was an enjoyable experience. Good location in the city center which was an easy ride although the roads could get a bit congested. Nice and modern theatre in Faro. Good free parking next to theatre. Shopping centre in walking distance for a quick bite, also a bar/cafe in the theatre, a bit smallish though. Great place and great show. The only negative aspect was the fact that they let late people in all the time, disturbing the spectators with lights, talking and obstructing the view. Why not waiting for the interval? Went to see Rufus Wainwright What a remarkable Gig. Wonderful acoustics. Thanks. Excellent venue, good parking facilities too Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
