Seats outside are all occupied. There are more inside though. There was a queue ; not too though. Beautifully located near the beach. There are plenty of of varying sizes and shapes to choose from. Our takeaway are delicious Delicious Portuguese pastries, served right on the beachfront. Sun, sand, clean blue sea, and pastel de nata. What more could you want? Well, perhaps a beer. But still, this is your spot for great pasties on the beach. We ordered a number of different items to take away and enjoy on the sun loungers we rented which came in a convenient carry out cardboard box. There were dozens of various items to choose from, mostly pastries. The true test for a Portuguese pastelaria though is their pastel de nata. Theirs was the best that I've had locally, crispy flaky pastry with still a soft gooey warm custard centre, amply filled. Go on, make your day better, pick up a few of these to enjoy after your dip in the sea. Only downside is the fairly queue but it's worth it. There is a ticketing system though to help manage the demand. Came here few times during our vacation. It can be crowded in the morning but it goes fast. Service was amazing. They offer a wide variety of sweets and savory pastry. Cappuccino is Portuguese style, very foamy. Very nice pastery, sandwiches and drink and coffee. Casual but good One of the best pastelaria’s you will find! Tons of selection and everything is so fresh! Great views right on the beach front of quarteira also! Delicious fantastic staff and a great price to cap it off! The view here is also great and a splendid place to people watch 🙏🏻 Very busy at 9:00am, very slow. On queue since arround 9:15 starting being served 9:30. Price per person 6€ +/- Natural Orange Juice 3.7€ 4/5: Low fiber, from Algarve oranges. Figs cake with almods 2.25€ 4.5/5: Almond cake with top Figs/pumpkin. Very good balance between sugar and acidity. Uses more local ingredients. Didn't seem to show signs of oxidation. Red Velvet 2.85€ 2.5/5: Very buttery, dry and flaky especially on the sides (possibly due to exposed to oxygen). 5 levels spongy cake with strawberry jam simple spongy cake. The acidity and balance weights more on the side. The strawberry jam as a more industrial flavour. Cheese ham Toast 3€: Normal tasting Galão 1.7€ Normal tasting UCAL 2.10€ Normal tasting Loved the selection of cakes and other treats. Counter service, so don't sit at a table and wait for someone to come and take your order. They have a 'take a ticket' system. A must try pastry shop, amazing service ! Sweets made by locals for all those who care to come enjoy....I triple dog dare you to try it..you won't regret it. A must try is the orange roll since oranges come from the local algarve area. Friendly and delicious bakery Pastel de nata were perfect and orange muffin was lovely too A brilliant experience with a fantastic selection on offer! Definitely recommend the pastéis de nata! Great too. Highly recommend. Such a huge choice! Lovely and coffee! Ladies are so kind and nice who work there! Exceptional variety of baked treats. While in the Algarve we tried something new every day and were never disappointed. Everything is freshly baked. The line of people speaks to the quality of their treats. Their sponge cake items were perfectly done. Anything with cream!!! Wow! There is indoor and outdoor seating and take away is always an option. We got very bad experience about this cafe shop on three occasions First time, we waited for a at the counter but nobody wanted to serve us so we left. Second (afternoon today), we realised only one customer in front of us so we didn’t take a ticket. Unfortunately, he took a to place an order and pay. Meanwhile, several customers arrived, the waitress ignored us and chose to serve those other customers. At this, we left again without any argument as we just wanted to buy a cold drink. At the third (tonight), we searched for any dessert place after we had Indian food. Unfortunately , they were still open after 8:00, so we took a ticket and placed an order for desserts and coffees. But the waitress gave us a face. When we were having and desserts outside, we realised the waitress was smiling for the other customers. We feel upset. They don’t like tourist or they only like to serve locals? In my conclusion, We are not recommending any tourist to try this so called cafe shop. They won’t feel welcome. Outstandingly fresh baked goods from a traditional bakery. 10/10 for quality, service and plenty of air conditioned indoor seating. One to visit again and again. Great authentic Portuguese patisserie. This team has been running here for decades, and always serve crispy, fresh bakery with a smile. All is done with quality, from the to the cakes to the tidiness of the place. You can't go wrong with any selection here. Decent price too, considering you're next to the beach. Beira-Mar is always a must-visit for us whenever we’re in Portugal – and for good reason. It’s extremely popular and always busy, but the wait is never long, and the fact that it’s full of locals says it all. The are truly to die for, all freshly prepared with incredible quality. We enjoyed a cheese and ham croissant with and juice – the croissant was almost brioche-like, soft and buttery, but not too sweet. My partner couldn’t resist trying the almond croissant afterwards, and it was absolutely divine. The atmosphere is lively yet welcoming, the space is spotless, and while it’s self-service, the staff still provide excellent support with a smile. If you’re in the area, don’t miss Beira-Mar. It’s the first place we head to every we come to Portugal, and it never disappoints. So lovely being served by the owner’s son. Really helpful and patient with us explaining what products were. Beautiful old fashioned array of pastries. Everything we tried was delicious. Eating a fresh warm pastel de nata overlooking the sea is a lovely experience.
