Gut Pronstorf

Lübeck, Germany Event venue

One of the Best Places To Visits in Strenglin Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. In summer fantastic location hosting the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival as well as weddings and festive arrangements ...and in winter time one of the most beautiful privately run Christmas markets of northern Germany. The hotel offers high scale very individual rooms with personal service. A hidden sanctuary with lots of treasures to discover. We stayed here as we were in invited to take part in a wedding and celebration. The hotel is truly rustical and the church from the year 1200 was walking distance. The experience was memorable. The Christmas is held at the historic Gut Pronstorf, located by the Wardersee in the municipality of Pronstorf, a few kilometers east of Bad Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein. The estate is owned by the Rantzau family and is still in operation today. The 18th-century manor house is considered one of the main works of Baroque architecture in Holstein, alongside the manor house of Gut Güldenstein. The history of the location adds a unique charm to the market. As you wander through the stalls, you can't help but be awed by the grandeur of the manor house, beautifully lit up and decorated for the season. It's like stepping back in time, a magical experience that perfectly complements the festive atmosphere of the market. The fact that the estate is still in operation today is a testament to the Rantzau family's commitment to preserving this piece of history. It's a wonderful setting for the Christmas market, and I can't think of a better place to celebrate the season. The combination of history, tradition, and modernity is truly unique, and it's what makes this stand out from the rest. So, if you're looking for a Christmas with a difference, I highly recommend visiting Gut Pronstorf. Not only will you find a diverse range of products and a fantastic festive atmosphere, but you'll also get to experience a piece of Holstein's history. It's an experience not to be missed! I was a guest at a wedding here, stayed at a nearby hotel. Everyone met for breakfast here the next morning. I did not know that breakfast was not for all guests, and the hostess made a point to come out and ask me to pay for my breakfast, in front of the bride and groom, and then said breakfast is not included for everyone. I don't mind this out of principle, but I find it in very bad taste to do in this particular way in front of everyone, and especially the couple who booked the venue. When this hostess left her colleague came to do the same thing. They must make all their margin on these breakfasts, otherwise it would not make sense to hassle the guests of your customers this way. I was there this year. Nobody from the entire staff was speaking English. I understand many things and the point it’s a village, but how come that even at reception I couldn’t get information I needed. I felt bad as a foreigner. We have XXI century.
