Definitely worth visiting if you are around the area. Nice north of Germany - it was a 1.5 hour journey from Hamburg. The weather was just perfect and there was a good crowd turnaround. Maybe not very ideal to go completely inside the because the water isn't very clean but I don't know of any other clean beaches in Germany. The sandy is lovely to walk by, but in my opinion, it is not as best as it gets for smimming. Cleanliness must be improved. Also, it was too overcrowded for my opinion. The train was also very crowded and late. Travemünde Strand is pretty cool... I was here a lot of times and the sands are always clean and beautiful. maybe the sea is not so pure but for relaxing it's a wonderful place. water is always cold and hard to swim but anyway I am offering this place for visit and enjoy for it. Beautiful promenade and access to sandy beaches, hut rental available. is not accessible for dogs in the summer season but plenty of promenade available. Great view and calm beach. Some times hard to find a parking spot. Better if reached by publicly transport from Lübeck. "Strandkorb" are available for rent. It is enjoyable on windy days. Great if visited on Travemünde woche, Where there are lots of stuffs happening and varieties of eateries.. overall great experience... Nice beach. It was a bit cold, so, come on a properly warm day, 25+ degrees perhaps. It was still very nice though. There were changing cabins, showers, lifeguards, chairs to rent, etc. The entry fee is €3, before 15:00, afterwards it is €1,6. One downside I would say is the absence of lockers for rent. I would like to put my bag and valuables in a lockable cabinet such as in train stations, etc Nice place, it was not crowded in the weekdays, however, I wouldn't know the weekends. The sea looks beautiful during sunny day. Better than expected! The was very nice and pintoresque, highly recommended if you’re in the area. The sand was OK, with areas more sandy and others more rocky but overall pretty good. I can’t comment on the water temperature as it wasn’t very warm outside the day I went (~25C), but people seemed to enjoy it!
