Had a lovely dinner at Barne Lodge. Drive past often and have always wanted to pop in. Had a hake special and it was great, always reasonably priced compared to similar places in Clonmel. Will definitely be back. Excellent food And Very friendly staff I highly recommend this bar/restaurant Would have given 5 stars for food but there was not enough vegetables on our plates for what we ordered. Also pricy compared to other restaurants/pubs. Staff very nice so can't fault that but hey give us enough vegetables. Founded this gem after a recommendation from a work colleague. We drive 35/40 mins now for Sunday lunch. The tall long blonde haired girl is always super friendly and fantastic at her job !! No matter how busy it is the food and service is 11 out of 10 . The burger was absolutely delicious too. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the service was quick, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this pub for a great meal and warm atmosphere! We stopped on the way home from kilkenny last Sunday. It was myself husband and son. The staff were really nice and helpful. It was busy but we were seated straight away. The food was brought out to our son first thankfully ☺️. He devoured his baby bowl. Our mains were delicious. We didn't get desserts but we will 100% be back. delicious 😋 Decided to go here as a special treat, family of 5 including 3 kids (we were so pleasantly surprised with the price of everything) My husband had the t bone steak cooked perfectly he said it was one of the best he’s had. I had the black pudding salad which was absolutely gorgeous (still thinking about it). Staff were so accommodating to our kids who are typical fussy children. One also with dietary requirements. Can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to go back. I couldn’t speak more highly of this place, the staff were amazing and couldn’t have done any more for us. All 3 of us got food and everything was absolutely beautiful. I got a steak and it was cooked to perfection, I couldn’t fault it. The portion sizes were more than enough and prices extremely reasonable, well worth the money in my opinion. The facilities were immaculate, the outdoor area was beautiful we will definitely be back.
