Instagram brought me here, Grew up in The Netherlands... but I didn't know until now ffs. A lovely island. It is stunning and a really good drone spot. Without seeing it from the sky it is worth 3/4 stars… it is good for boats and fishing but beside that it is not really special without a drone It’s okay. It’s an island in the shape of a tulip. It’s fun to stop for 10 minutes and go on with your journey. A nice place to visit. Be aware there are a lot of flying bugs though haha still it was really nice to sit and enjoy staring at the water! We missed out on the tulips. We often visit Tulpeiland for the water and the sand and the sea view. Yesterday we went and found tulips too. That was an unexpected surprise... well not so much.. given the season 😃 Recently, there is built the arkmuseum also. The museum has tickets while the island has no entry fees. You can park anywhere where its not blocking the road. Full blown tulips! Perfect time to visit island. However know that there is some construction going on. So ark is gone. Great idea beautifully executed. This island also gives an excellent break location for watersport lovers. First place in netherlands where i can be with my own minds. Very calm..
