This is a great place. It is good to see the resident and the exhibits in the museum. They do great work nursing injured and sick back to health and looking after those who cannot go back to the wild. They have a large number of white storks, who are real characters, as well as many other species. It is very educational. The admission charges are very reasonable. They have nice things in the shop. Please support them if you are in the area. Nice to have place like this, they help for poor birds, you can see there 🦅🦆🕊️🐥🦢🦉🪿🦚 Almost all type of eagles. You can spend there about 1-2 hours. Also you can see surgeries if you there on the “right time” The tour was amazing! Very informational specially on how were recovered from an accident. Very nice place. I would say it is expensive at first, but the price you pay goes directly to help injured so it is actually worth it. It is impressive to see so many bird varieties in one place. Kids playground is very special, too. I visited in February and the whole thing was so educational and interesting. Straight away the first thing you see are the storks near the entrance and the sound of all the different birds. Upon entering, the staff were really nice and explained the way the whole thing works. I got to then start walking around the seeing all the different birds. They have a long hallway at the start where they have a bunch of information written down about each bird and they are kept with their own species. As it was explained, they only keep the injured there before letting them go to the outside exhibits or releasing some of them into nature. Sometimes, if you time it write, you may even witness one of the staff in the little operating room working on one of the birds, helping them out. Then while visiting the outside, there are several different species of and at that point, it was feeding time for some of them. The seemed accustomed to their temporary lives there and might have even formed some connections with the workers. I love how a bird hospital like such has been made into something like this that people can visit to help fund it and also learn more about the birds. It was super educational for me and I would imagine people who love bird watching, learning about or simply taking pictures would be delighted in visiting. I won't lie, even a beginner photographer such as myself managed to take some lovely pictures. I was working with them several times. It's a really nice and patient team. The crew there is kind and they show you everything. You can talk to them, they will help you immediately. And also don't forget that after all they are saving hundreds of animals life. It was a pleasure being there. Thank you! Great location, run by an excellent team under supervision of the superb veterinarian Dr. Janos Deri. I was a lucky one to spend some days there and I could admire the important work of those people. Great from a vets point of view, but also in terms of conservation biology.
