Someone recommended this restaurant and tonight we went there for dinner and didn’t regret the 30 minute way… Open fireplace to roast the meat, cosy atmosphere, very friendly staff, and most importantly, outstandingly delicious food. We went for 1.2 kg t-bone, served in a hot pan, vegetables and potatoes as side dish, and truffle noodles. And all of this at a very reasonable price. A place to be! Absolutely incredible restaurant, we loved it so much we came back twice on our trip. The meat was the best we’ve had in Croatia (& a long time in general). The beef steak 12/10. The service was also incredible! We came here for the first time with some expectations, and left impressed. Everything was perfect, from service, food, prices and atmosphere, and even our children (2.5 - 3 years) were happy there. Tartufi sos with ravioli is amazing and fiorentina steak was one of the best I ever tried. We will return for sure! Absolutely amazing taverne – we loved it so much, we came back a second time during our trip! The food was always incredibly delicious, and the open grill where you can watch the chefs prepare the steaks is a real highlight. The service was super friendly and especially great with kids – warm, welcoming, and very attentive. The atmosphere is cozy, with lovely outdoor seating in the garden and covered spots for bad weather. Just a heads-up: make a reservation – in July, we couldn’t get a table without one. A real gem in Croatia – highly recommended! The best Konoba in all of Istria! Incredible home-cooked food in a beautiful restaurant where they also speak many languages. For an authentic Istrian dining experience, don’t miss this gem in Danijeli! The best food. I recommend the fiorentina od boškarina (medium rare IMO), some salad, some Coca-Cola or wine (malvazia), pancakes or panna cotta. The only weird thing is that they have a chocolate cake on menu but they didn't have it in stock the last 2 times I was there (in July and August). We had a fantastic dinner at Konoba Danijeli. The steaks were honestly 10/10 – perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The whole atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, exactly what you want from a place like this. A big thank you to our waiter, Danijel. He was super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything went smoothly without ever feeling pushy. His service really added to the great evening we had.
