Tourist Information Freiburg

Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany Tourist information center

Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Friendly staff, English spoken. However there is not much useful information about black forest(I need to google online by myself), the map cost 1 €. Extremely staff and with all tourists information centres there is free WiFi. The two ladies were friendly and with information. The staff there are extremely and friendly but none of the guides or booklets or leaflets are available in English. Everything is in German. It’s not catered towards non German tourists. Very helpful! You must stop here and get a map of the city, it will show you the transit routes and minimize some of your walking. English is spoken and maps are in English. The staff knows about all the events and locations that are a must see. We found the lady who worked there very helpful, she sold us a map for 1€ which is well worth it as it includes a route to walk around the on kind of like a self guided tour, and you can read information on the map as you go. She also recommended things to eat, and other areas to visit Super helpful, and went with our faltering German, only switching to English after asking. Horrible experience!! They didn't tell us about curches, museums, and other important places in friburg to visit, just told about a walk along the river, ...nothing special at all!! It was better not to ask to this turistic point, we lose our time!!!!!! Why is it that I have to ask a different employee every time I need a service done here? No one is on the same page ever. I hope no one else has the experiences I have had here trying to do a simple service that is necessary for my studies. If you want to be given a map you will have to buy a 1€ map!! Otherwise, in my opinion, they don’t give you good information to visit the town. First time in my life that I experience such a service! We visited the Tourist Information Centre twice during our stay. We don't speak German and each time the gentleman that assisted us was so explaining in English the best ticket to purchase and the relevant tram/bus to use. Thank you Staff is friendly and well informed; the 3 day ticket that covers transport, local museums and even the cable car up the mountain is great value for money Received wonderful assistance from this office.the recommended hike was a highlight of our stay in Germany. Highly recommended We got some advice in the tourist office and booked a fantastic walking tour. Our tour guide was Safi, who was very knowledgeable, engaging and had a great sense of humour. We very much appreciated that he didn’t just give us dates and events but added his personal touch. Would highly recommend! I visited just when they were about to close. Staff immediately went from speaking English to us to speaking full German, which was difficult for us. I understand that your work shift is over, but you did not need to treat tourists that way just to get them to leave quickly. 2 stars only for the free wifi and a few pamphlets on the wall. Otherwise, customer service from the middle aged brown haired man was not friendly, informative, or welcomed warmly. He seemed like he did not enjoy his job or liked being there to help tourists. I asked about any attractions or nice places to see in the city, any music/dance/theatre activities, or anything that would be good for children and his response was, “no” for practically everything. He didn’t even give any suggestions, said Germany did not have anything on Mondays, and that there were no events here. It was the least and unfriendliest tourist office visited on our trip in January. Would find a different representative to serve your for international appeal.
