There is a that stops right outside of the camp to take you to the city. Big plenty to see . Convenient parking for campers for a night or two, with easy access to old town Freiburg by tram. This would be 4 stars but there was a corporate running event next door & the music was really loud for 2 1/2 hours! Large car park area costing 15€ in cash. Reception was open & I was greeted in English by a helpful man.All pitches are slightly sloping so ramps are needed. It's quite bare at the moment but trees and shrubs have been planted.We walked the 2 miles into Freiburg. Closed on match days so check first!! Here we have a convenient park up very industrial but fairly priced. There is waste disposal and included and it is near the for the town of Freiburg. There is no shade and is not level. Parking is haphazard. Electricity is available and is paid by the kw with coins. Staff helpful. Price €15 per night. Ok for an overnight stop, €13. Small office has lady who takes your booking and issues a card for your window. No toilet or washing. It’s next to the football stadium but lots of room; it was full when we used 3rd week in august despite the size so very popular for overnight. Many waste bins, grey and waste drive over. Free fill up. Easy 15min cycle into the Aldstat and Freiburg is the cycling capital of Germany. Lidl is 500m towards the city. Felt very safe and was quiet once the small planes stopped (around 8pm). It’s a great before you go south or for us to break journey up back north. Lots of pitches, but watch out for the days they have football match as it's then closed. It's not a quick walk. Lack of info from initial enquiry and reservation. The €5 is just the booking fee, cost us €18 in total for the one night and they ONLY ACCEPT CASH so make sure you have some before you arrive!! No electric or other direct services. Electric is available on a payment meter (not sure on cost as we ended up not using it) Apparantly there is available somewhere on site and drainage of grey water. A safe feel to the site and there were loads of other motorhomes here with us. There is a less than 5 min which will take you all the way into the centre of Freiburg. Good luck with the ticket machine as you board the tram, not easy to understand and wouldn't accept any of our cards so had to pay cash. Just did 2 x adult single fares for €5.80, which is fine. Freiburg is quirky but pretty cool, great for a beer and some dinner. The return drops you at the before the one you left from, then just a short back to the site. Absolutely fine for a simple no frills one night although quite a bit over priced for what you get, where you are located on the ourskirts of the town and what you get from other simple stopver sites. Was happy enough with the site in the end but I wouldn't recommend or revisit due to the cost and lack of return for what you pay for. Also usual annoyance from people letting their kids play around till way too late making way too much noise but that isn't the site's fault, just ignorant people.
