Unfortunately it is usually very hot in the summer near the lake too. A very informative and educational park. You scan a QR code at the entrance (which is free by the way) and it gives details about every plant you encounter. The park isn't too big but it is still beautiful, even in the winter months. What a wonderful place! We spend a night here. Nothing special The botanical garden was abandoned in 2019, but during 2022 they have started efforts to revive it. It's a very beautiful and serene place, where you can see an abudance of flora and get information about it. It deserves a visit. No facilities but loveybut lovely play to spend a nighy Right on the lake and so peaceful. Entrance is free. You can buy small plants for your vegetable garden which are organic and from old, natural seeds. They also have herbs, herbs al teas for various ailments and beeswax products - cream, lip balm etc. Worth the stop! Πολύ όμορφη διαδρομή μέσα στα δέντρα, λόγω όμως βροχής τις προηγούμενες μέρες, το μονοπάτι είχε πολλές λάσπες και νερά και ήταν επικίνδυνο για γλύστρες. Πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα και η ακουστική επεξήγηση της μικρής φωτογραφικής έκθεσης που υπάρχει εντός! Και φυσικά πριν φύγουμε πήραμε βότανα για διάφορα ροφήματα σε πολύ καλές τιμές! The caretaker was really warm and passionate, such a pity that this place has been closed for a few years due to the economic crisis. At the end of the exhibition you can find a small interesting photography exhibition about the story of the Neochori village in Greek, French and English languages and.... Drum rolls..... You can also buy some fresh Greek herbs and spices for a really good price, just remember to have some cash with you! Πολλή καλή δουλειά έχει γίνει από τους υπεύθυνους τόσο στο χώρο όσο και στην επεξήγηση κάθε είδους φυτού αλλά και του φωτογραφικού υλικού που υπάρχει! Στην επόμενη επίσκεψη μας στην περιοχή, σίγουρα θα ξαναπερασουμε! The sign outside of the garden said i was under maintenance. But it was not maintained well.
