It's a that has been operating for many years and is getting better and better year by year. Now it has gained such a good reputation that there are many visitors from neighboring cities who come to the just for this restaurant. The route from Mouzaki is very nice, between trees and small villages. There are two parking spaces at the restaurant. If you visit on a Saturday or Sunday you must have a reservation. There is a nicely decorated indoor and an enclosed outdoor under a pergola made of tree trunks. The food is amazing! You should definitely try all the traditional pies (vegetable pie, cheese pie and the local plastos pie) and any meat you like because they are all very tasty and the portions are big. Below the there is a large yard with ponies and at the end of the yard are the for rent, but only the residents have access to them. place especially for family with kids. menu with fair prices. Also nice if you decide to stay. Updated 2025 Review. My previous review needs an overhaul. Let's go. A Magical Escape for Families! We revisited this place after seven years, and we’re happy to say it’s just as wonderful as we remembered—if not better! The property is exceptionally well-maintained, and the remains unforgettable. Restaurant & Atmosphere The food is still delicious, with generous portions at fair prices. The view is breathtaking, and the fairytale-like atmosphere makes every meal feel special. Breakfast is included if you stay for the night and it is tasty. If you want delivery on homes, it cost 5€ but it definitely worth. The Property & Animals The grounds are spacious and full of life —you’ll encounter deer, ponies, chickens, and even peacocks roaming freely! It’s a fantastic for kids (and adults!) who love animals. The Accommodation Below the restaurant, a scenic path leads to charming stone cottages where you can spend the night. These family-sized homes feature two bedroom, two bathrooms and a private jacuzzi. The thick stone walls keep the interiors cool in summer, making them incredibly comfortable. The Pool & Overall Experience At the center of the cottage area, there’s a 24/7 accessible pool, perfect for a refreshing dip at any time. Final Thoughts This is a truly magical place, ideal for families, couples, and anyone looking for a unique getaway. If you want a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, animals, and luxury touches, don’t miss it! Highly recommended! The place is great. Worth diverting from your initial route just in order to dine here. The scenery is interesting and resembles a house from Tolkien stories. The service is fast and good. The food tastes and the meat especially is their strong point. Salads are generous... nothing more to ask... even the prices are competitive and if you factor in the locally sourced materials and large portions then... it's even better. If you re visiting the wonder it is a place to choose at least once. The little houses were great, decoration and attention to detail. Air-conditioning in all rooms, big jacuzzi, fridge etc. The shared pool could have been a little bigger. Location was beautiful with free roaming deer, chickens, Shetland horses and a few rabbits in amongst lush mountains. The breakfast was and the location is also with home made produce, fresh eggs etc. A bit of a let down was the cake they served at breakfast which was obviously mass produced and really was no need to include. The had decent food, what you would expect of a well visited taverna. Now the negatives: service for the guests staying in the houses was lacking. There was not any staff to take care of little problems, took them ages to fix a simple issue with our sink, they grumbled when I asked for an extra fob for the gate since we were two groups sharing a double bedroom house, the blonde lady at reception did not seem to like her job very much. Also there was no room services at all which is not a problem usually but if you have to walk up a steep hill to get a can of coke, maybe they should consider stocking the with more than two bags of tea and two crackers. Or consider some windows were you can place orders from the restaurant. Maybe a nespresso machine would be nice instead of that terrible filter machine from the 80s. Also there was deer poo everywhere, which, in the 5 days we were there, was only cleaned up once meaning before it got cleaned it was impossible to walk and not step in poo. Poo needs daily cleaning. The houses were not cheap so pretty sure they can afford to spend more money on more staff. Also there were people from the taverna roaming around and peeking around the houses and the establishment's solution was to lock the gate between the and the guest houses, but they only gave us one key, which obviously caused issues for us having to back and forth and figure out the logistics of 5 people moving independently but with one key... I suggested they put a big red no entry sign, the response was that they did and the visitors stole it, which is a ridiculous lie. I would go again but hoping for some improvements. Everything is very tasty and the prices are reasonable to say the least. The place is so pretty and also offers some nice views. Just like an elves' village! My kids called it the hobbit land because of its unique, fairy like atmosphere and rooms. Beautiful, cozy and relaxed with lots of farm and forest around. I find it a bit overpriced but that's my personal view. It is certainly an experience, even for just a ride and some good, tasteful, rustic food! Went for the restaurant. Very nice food, environment and service. I go every year with my family on my summer holiday. Had a time at Keramario tavern. food and atmosphere! place to eat. Family friendly and picturesque Had an time, everything was spectacular, it was such a experience. Totally recommend and will visit again. We visited the taverna, indeed the location and the environment there is amazing!! The food is good and there are options for vegans or vegetarians but maybe this was because we went on a fasting period. The toilets are clean and nicely decorated. What I found repulsive as well as offensive is the fact that the internal space of the taverna is full of embalmed animals. Furthermore our order was delayed a lot, although there was not busy when we visited. experience. Both the hotel and the are world class. Hospitality, superb quality all around and attention to detail are some of the qualities of the rooms. The scenery is pure magic with deer, donkeys, ponys, chickens, roosters, peacocks and other roaming around the field. The place is kid friendly. The have superb heat and noise insulation. Jacuzzi and a spacious bathroom make for a bathtub experience. The has food and good prices. There is room service served by the which is super convenient for families. There's a pool and plenty of space for kids to run around during the Spring/Summer. Partner rated the place higher than the likes of Intercontinental, Hilton and Sheraton in Americas/SE Asia, which is an exaggeration but isn't something that you can claim for many places in Greece..! 5/5. Beautiful and decoration. Friendly and quick staff. Definitely recommended. Beautiful experience, peaceful environment, food! (Avoid weekends as it gets a bit more crowded) Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, CLEAN AND NEAT, tasteful in terms of decoration and food , ideal for all ages. Recently stayed there in summer and the breeze healed the heat. Upon arriving we were blown away by the atmosphere of the restaurant. Situated in a cozy corner of Greece, Keramario Taverna perfectly encapsulates the natural beauty of the area. The food was amazing. It’s all naturally and ethically sourced from surrounding farms and prepared deliciously. It’s easy to see why they are the winner of the Greek Food Award for more than three consecutive years. They also boast a peaceful and child friendly environment. It’s not often that you can describe a meal as an experience, however, that’s precisely how one would describe eating here. I highly recommend this for anyone seeking to immerse themselves in Greek culture. So many wild ..such food! Very slow service...clearly favours locals. 2.5 hours for precooked food and they were supposedly 'busy' ...but just for us Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
