Amazing camping place for family vacations. Good amenities and entertainment. Renting a house is nice but they qr elocated in the back and there is no shuttle so you have to walk 15min at least. Not that bad, but with small children is not that great. The staff is just straight up mean. They do what they want and they think they know everything better then you. They pretend like you're stupid because you have a question. The houses on the other hand looked rather good. You do hear a lot of cars drive by. I recommend this place for a family with little kids and patient parents only. Rooms could be cleaner. Flies were a pain and kids get bites every where. Other than that it is a perfect summer holiday resort. Enjoyed it a lot with full family of 14 people including 4 kids and a baby. Good place to stay for a weekend. Close to Toverland (theme park). We stayed in one of the 10 person Landal houses. Great house, nice swimming pool and lots of playgrounds for kids to play Really good from start to finish. Pool is a good size and not too busy. The playgrounds and football pitches are excellent. The fact that the Mattel land is included aswell as the swimming in the price of your stay makes it very reasonable. Really nice park, very clean, accommodation is well looked after and staff are very friendly. We've had a very nice stay in 6pers. Bungalow at Landal de Schatberg. Rooms were tidy and comfortable. Plenty of space in rooms, large tables inside outside for larger families. Jacuzzi included. Comfortable beda and clean sleeping rooms.Positioned close to the water with plenty of space inside and outside. Parc itself has lots to do for little kids, playground inside and outside. During summertime this parc has a nice swimming pool outside with great waterslide. Swimming pool inside is small/medium sized but just OK with waterslide. Parc itself is positioned close to themeparks Toverland and MindMystery. Parkstaff was friendly all the time and helpful when we have had questions. One of the holidays where I couldnt think of something disappointing Disappointing Stay at Landal Domein De Schatberg – Would Not Recommend We stayed at Landal Domein De Schatberg in July 2024, in one of their 14-person water villas, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. While the house was large and relatively new, it already showed significant signs of wear. There were visible marks on the walls and other signs of general use that made the place feel tired and in need of a proper refresh. The most serious issue was bed bugs. Two people in our group were bitten during our stay, and this was later confirmed by two separate doctors back home as bed bug bites. We also found a dead bed bug under a mattress topper in one of the beds. When we reported this to Landal, we expected concern and action – but instead, they denied everything. They claimed their own pest control expert had found nothing and insisted the dead bed bug was probably just an insect from the nearby forest. This felt dismissive and unacceptable, especially given the medical confirmations. The swimming area was overcrowded and unhygienic. Many guests didn’t shower properly before entering the pool, likely due to inadequate bathing facilities. It made the whole pool experience unpleasant and far from the relaxing atmosphere we had hoped for. Although this is called a holiday park, the house is located in the middle of a crowded campsite. Getting to the villa was stressful, with tents and people everywhere, which really took away from the sense of a peaceful vacation. I would not recommend Domein De Schatberg to others.
