A lovely location to visit and it has a nice visitor center including a model of the and plenty of history to share with the inquisitive. The interior gives an idea of what it was like it its hay day. The grounds were spotless, the grass was cut and the whole pace has a charm of all its own. A beautiful visit was had, cheers Fantastic! This located in historic town. There is a magnificent view from the top and one of popular visitor attraction in Wexford. That's only half of the still remains. Easy to get here by bus or car. Plenty of parking space available nearby the castle. Can get more information about this from Visitor's Center. Really enjoyed it. Nice little place, more ruins than castle. I would take the guided if I were you. I did and it was not just informative, it lets you into parts of the that you can't access otherwise. The guide was quite funny and we enjoyed it. 😁 Unfortunately, didn't get the ladies name in the visitor's centre. But she made our kids feel special. Speaking to them, giving them tickets to the tower etc. Our guide, Katie, lovely young lady, (impressed our kids) was very informative, but also pleasant and friendly . The tapestries are amazing, fabulous grounds but the inside the tower is awesome. Not putting any inside photos, it needs to be seen. Recommend to all. Spotless toilets. Free parking, free admission. Fantastic family experience. Nice small castle, quick to look around with free entry. Parking directly beside it on the road. A nice place to stop off at if you're en route to somewhere else. a very interesting place, for children there is archery and chess right on the lawn in front of the castle. I was amazed by the exhibition of hand-embroidered paintings, dedicated to the history of Ireland. Unfortunately, we did not learn the details of the creation of these paintings, only that a group of women embroidered them over the course of either two years or other periods Absolutely thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The guide was completely engaging and very knowledgeable. Really recommend this 45-minute The public guided of the tower was given by a very knowledgeable guide explaining the history. Check the times before visiting. Most of the is in ruins but enough remains to make it a worthwhile visit. The toy bow-and-arrow game was great for the kids.
