A big, well run, waste and recycling centre. Very polite and helpful people run the facility. It's well organized and a great convenience. Have visited here many times. The facilities are excellent. Great, knowledgeable staff who are only to help. We were able to get rid of loads of metal, old paint cans & a number of electrical items without any fuss. Well organized recycling centre. Great resource and the staff are always very polite, accommodating and nice. The guy in the exit kiosk no matter how busy or frustrating some people are, he always remains calm and pleasant whilst getting his job done. The guy who looks after the compactors etc is always smiling and polite to all customers. They get my vote 💯 great centre Discarded old electrical home items and a BBQ (counted as scrap metal). Charged 2Euros for all. You pay at the exit. I saw people had discarded their old beddings, duvets, oil, batteries, glass, TV, fridge, washing maching, cardboard boxes, cans etc. They charge you based on the item type. Easy to find, off the main road before you hit Supermacs. Staff there are friendly enough, and happy to help if you can't lift your rubbish they were assisting an elderly couple with a small trailer and having much Craic with them, much better than most of the other waste places. Costs are cheaper than getting a skip so what's not to like. It's got me kicking started on a big clean up. Prices are a rip-off, no wonder some people prefer to dump stuff on the roadside. As a county council facility it should be free/flat fee entry only. Spend 35€ to dump a few timber boards, old stroller, baby car seat and a few pieces of cardboard? Outrageous!
