If you are looking for a hike then this isn’t the place for you. It’s a flat, on a gravel path. The nicest part is around the quarry lake You can do an out and back that works out to be 11km total Well worth a visit. Absolutely beautiful mirror lake surrounded by cliffs, trees and nature. A popular spot for artists and photographers. Large free car park with public toilets a short down the pathway and also a caravan selling and snacks. Delightful place for a stroll in nature .. it's a quiet place and peaceful... with multiple places to rest and even do abit of bird watching. Been here a few times and I keep coming back. Lovely spot with nice walking which are dog friendly. If you go to the 1798 memorial, there is a climb up a hill that may take some people a little bit more time to get up. Also, there are picnic benches, by the car park, and a spot to grab a and snacks but bring water if it's a warm day. The quarry is beautiful against the backdrop of stone that has pink hues (no swimming is permitted). The one disappointing thing we encountered on the was how many people failed to clean up after their dogs which is a shame. This place is stunning. We couldn't get over the beauty of it. Lots of different trails. Not too difficult. Viewing area is beautiful. We took a picnic with us to have at carpark picnic tables. There's also a van here serving coffee, cakes etc. There's lots of work going on here at the moment they are turning it into some sort of a water adventure park so parts of the walks were unaccessible. Still stunning though. Lovely area to visit. Plenty of to walk, lots to see, picnic benches, wagon, and you can take a dip in the lake. Fantastic work by the council to bring it all to life and create a very pleasant touring spot. This place feels like a world away from Wexford Town. Breathtaking views of the surrounding area. I've only met nice people here, it feels a safe place to for solo women. They are constructing a facility of kinds here, and I really hope it doesn't limit the for those who have enjoyed it for many years. A couple of bins along the trail would be good as you can see the odd bit of litter here and there. Beautiful place for a and a van with great and cakes 😋 Schöne Atmosphäre und gute Wandermöglichkeiten. Toller Aussichtspunkt und viel Natur. Beautiful area with fabulous views Great little gem I did my photoshoot for my new single down here , easy to locate and tea and coffees after lots of parking too ❤️ Lovely little trail with lots of viewing points and public bathroom! Plenty of free parking and nice van. Other signposted if you want a longer as the main one is only about 20 minutes I’ve been a frequent visitor to the quarry for years it’s beautiful and I have always highly recommended this gem. There is a truck selling pastries and for your walk. It is also a great dog walking trail as well as accessible for all ages. With bathrooms located on site also. However recently the condition and antisocial behaviour there seems to be rife. Really brings down the beauty of the place especially with the recent deforestation of the entrance and throughout. What was once seemingly alive with wildlife and a real nature is now half dead with foliage and cut down trees in piles. Plastic in the lake and trail-ways. We do our most to try bin what we find but i do question is their someone keeping an eye on the place at all.
