You get an great amount of food and the server was very helpful. We tried several different dishes, as well as two different kinds of Naan. Great for vegetarians. Most, if not all, main dishes have vegetarian versions (vegetable, or paneer). We are not fans of very spicy food, and this place offered very mild options of curries. The food was not overly greasy. The staff was very nice. The place did not smell of meat or fish, which for us is important. If we ever visit this town again, we would totally visit this once more. I cannot express the disgusting food I got from this restaurant. It is something that I cannot speak about; the hygiene is something that’s best left unspoken. Firstly, we ordered a vegetarian samosa and an aloo bonda. As enquired from the person in the shop, we had been promised a bonda with a great mix of spinach, chickpeas and potato. However as the result of it can be seen in the picture below. A small pebble of spinach and chickpeas was coated in a kilo of boiled potatoes and can be easily compared to the size of an atomic nucleus where the nucleus is the spinach mixture. The overall crust and coating was old, dry, oily and soggy. If they had been any flavour in it at all, it would’ve made the suffering a lot better. I felt like I had been served the entire bag of potatoes from Tesco in a single bonda. The aloo bonda tasted a lot of uncooked turmeric! It was so strong I could barely eat it. The bonda was terrible and awful; I wouldn’t even wish it on my enemy! Secondly, the vegetarian samosa was tiny! Without a microscope it wouldn’t even be visible! We were given 2 pebble like samosas for 6€. The mixture inside was very bland, and the crust was oily and not hygienic at all!! Talking of hygiene, the whole seemed like I was in an abandoned attic. Soo dusty and the floors were so oily, never mopped! The chair coverings had turned black from the soot and I shouldn’t say anymore or I will puke. The quality of the itself was very poor and I have no clue how it is still supported by HSE. To conclude, you can see the amount and time it has taken me to write; you should know that this is pretty true. If you want a real Indian meal not the best place to go. If you are a person who doesn’t really care. 5 stars for you! Super ! Best Indian I’ve been to. I’m a vegetarian and got the paneer saagwaloo which was exceptional. Couldn’t fault anything - it was perfection !! Exceptional. Great service. Fabulously cheap poked especially the vegetables. Served with loads of smiles. X The food was delicious . There was a group of 5 of us out celebrating our birthdays.. the staff could have been mire friendly.. service was great Spice Indian is fantastic! The authentic Indian food is consistently excellent, bursting with delicate, fresh flavors. The ambiance is warm and inviting, creating a lovely setting for your meal. The menu offers a large choice also for vegetarians, the portions are rather big, but I can assure you will finish everything. It's a truly great spot for a delicious meal. Highly recommended! Everything was cooked perfectly. Very fresh tasting. I particularly loved the vegetables in the madras curry. The paneer in the tikka starter was fluffy and full of flavour, with a nice sear. Top notch place with fantastic and friendly service.
