Lovely place in the middle of the countryside. Very peaceful. Everything is well looked after and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food is served in a cafeteria style and was tasty, plentiful and hot. We attended a corporate day event so didn't see bedrooms. The public rooms were all excellent and well looked after Rooms in the main building where we stayed for 3 nights are large. The decor is a mix of modern and old, which suits the rest of the accommodation. The grounds are fantastic and well maintained. Lots of walking areas. Location is not well enough signed posted for coach transport lots of narrow lanes in and out. Booked it last minute and wasn't expecting much considering how cheap it was but i was very pleasantly suprised. Good rooms, great bed, beautiful location and the breakfast was superb. By far the best value around. Will be staying there again. Stayed here for a martial arts camp and the facility is beautiful!! Decent rooms, friendly staff. Food selection was good as well! Beautiful setting with gorgeous grounds and ideal for walks. Essentially a hostel / hotel for athletes. We had a on the ground floor in Kent hall. The mattresses definitely need to be replaced. The rooms were a little dank and as the weather turns I suspect this will get worse. Need better pillows as well. The staff are knowledgeable and really helpful. The showers are small but adequate but they do leak. Please have lights where the entrances are to the various halls, perhaps lights that are triggered by movement And clear signage for the halls barring all the above. It's one of the best places to stay in the Telford area We love the whole experience of Lilleshall House. From large well equipped rooms with massive showers (choice of shower heads), fabulous breakfast choices, and beautiful gardens, well equipped gym (if you fancy it) and great staff was OK. Had a couple of drinks in the sports bar before heading down for dinner in the main restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was excellent. After dinner, we decided to go back to the sports bar at around 21:30. We passed the receptionist, who had checked us in earlier, and said "hi". The barman was also there but unfortunately didn't seem interested in serving us. After 5 mins of being ignored, we left without a nightcap. Very disappointed, because everything was good to this point. Probably won't return. It is the premier sports centre in Shropshire, boasting 5 squash courts of which 2 are glass backed, plenty of badminton courts, football, archery and a great place to spend the day on picnic. 2nd stay at Lilleshall Hall National Sports Centre. We stayed in a Kent which is not in the main Hall. The was Premier Inn style & very clean, everything you need for an overnight stay & the views from our window were stunning of the grounds. The bed was very comfortable & although a hot day the was very cool. Many great photos on the walls of past Footballers that have trained there & also of athletes, including the 1966 World Cup squad. The buffet style breakfast was outstanding & included in the price. . A selection of hot food, berries, cereals, fresh berries, yogurts, croissants, toast, crumpets, jams, fresh juices, hot drinks … I could go on. The breakfast area was in the main old Hall itself. Lovely large with magnificent views of the grounds which you can walk around at your leisure at any time. The reception area has a cafe, sofa seating area & 2 tv’s on. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. We can’t fault it & have booked again for this month. Training facilities were great. Food was decent but not amazing. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Was there on a warm sunny week the was quite uncomfortable with no air conditioning available.
