One of the Best Places To Visits in Reuenthal Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Excellent of tanks, afv, cannons and armaments. The oerlikon buehrle company has been integrated. The also has many events and its a good idea to look at the homepage. In general a very exquisite collection. Plan enough time for any visit. Opening times winter summer diffrent!! Always check homepage. Tank weekend in Sept is epic. I was there for 6 hours. WOW. The fortress building and equipment are in top condition. It looks like it could be returned to active service. The were also so very friendly. + Many exhibits + Well maintained + Parking available + Entry = Adult 15CHF and kid 6 CHF + Bistro also available inside + Can pay with a card /twint - At bistro was asked to pay with cash else need to pay on card at shop - Open only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday + / - All details were written only in German This was a much larger than we expected. If you want to appreciate it you will need half a day. Very pleasant who I think volunteer. Interested to talk to us. In the main building there is 4 or 5 floors. We didn't realise that there is another building until 15 minutes before closing which has a very large of tanks. The kindly kept the hall open for us to have a look around. Thank you so much. They had some in there which I've never seen before. I'm sure we will be returning as soon as the Tiger is running. Nice cafe which we had some lunch in. You can even go inside one of the armoured vehicles. The Tiger II is looking fantastic now. Low expectations but came away blown away. The is run like a club, but with massive super rare toys. The place is not huge, but who cares, what they have inside is awesome. I Must recommend this to anyone with even a passing interest in equipment. I have travelled the world and have never seen such an amazing diverse collection. Great place to visit if you are interested in weapons and history. Two very huge exhibition holes one with multi-levels and the other one full of restored from different nations, very friendly too including a bistro/restaurant. I absolutely loved it. Any enthusiast woul. So many armored vehicles, guns and systems at one place... I felt like Alice in the Wonderland. Spent by roaming the more than 5 hours and would not hesitate comming back. Very good. The only downtown thing is the descriptions are just in German. AAA+ experience anyway! Will definitelly come back to see the King Tiger when fully restored!!! What an excellent - especially for a neutral country! It must be said that although neutral, Switzerland has been responsible for producing some of the finest armaments, and much of that history is on display here. There are two very large buildings - one has everything from cannons, missiles, small arms, models etc, and even a V1 flying bomb with a cockpit. The second building houses the heavy armour, including and other vehicles from Europe, Russia, and across to the USA, both wartime and post war. Special thanks to Walter who gave us an impromptu and unexpected tour of the museum. The best, loved it, no public transportation nearby though had to walk for 30 mins to reach from the nearest recommended station, but worth it. This has WAY more stuff than they advertise! If you like WWI & WWII, it is a must see! All the are volunteers which means they are super passionate about the history! FYI, they have a fully functional tank simulator that is available on the first Saturday of every month. If you want to drive/try it, that’s when you want to come! This was the most amazing I have ever been to. If you're into memorabilia, this is the place for you!!! Spent 7 hours walking around looking at all the different things, came during the “panzer weekend” while they were driving around zenturion tanks, it was amazing, they had so many unique vehicles of different ages, and pared with the bunkers, it was truely amazing, the food stands were ok, bit pricy, but all that mattered to me where the vehicles and the history. This was hands down the best I have ever been to. The layout was very nice and had made it feel well organized. The diversity of attractions ranging from light aromorment and radio all the way to not missing anything in between kept me interested and excited. The was incredible and had explained in detail the best way to walk through it. If you can go it is a must. Best 15 dollars spent.
