You can buy raw locak ingredints when they are available in the counter. 🤗 A delicious gem in the Rhodope Mountains We stumbled upon Mandra Trigrad quite by chance while staying at Horlog Castle and taking a scenic afternoon drive towards Trigrad town and beyond. The sign caught our eye, and discovering that it was a dairy with a small restaurant, we decided to stop. And were we glad we did! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth. A friendly gentleman (whose name I regret not asking) took the time to explain their dairy setup and talk us through the different cheeses. We had a lovely conversation about kacamak, which reminded us of something very similar we eat back home in South Africa (called pap). We ordered the cheese selection, which turned out to be the best we had in Bulgaria. Not just for the rich, authentic flavours, but also for the unique textures. The Brynza cheese in particular was unlike any cheese we've had before. Alongside this, we enjoyed a mountain salad and of course, the kacamak. Everything tasted fresh, hearty, and absolutely delicious. This was a surprisingly delightful experience and one that we’ll certainly seek out again when we return to the area. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a taste of authentic Rhodopean cheese and warm Bulgarian hospitality! Посещавахме само този ресторант през целия ни престой в Триград ! Още с влизането ни посрещнаха с усмивка и топло отношение – персоналът е изключително дружелюбен и внимателен, създава уютна и приятна атмосфера. Храната е просто уникална – всяко ястие е приготвено с внимание и вкус, усеща се качеството на продуктите и желанието да зарадват гостите си. Боба на фурна просто невероятен, пъстървата и клина също. Поръчахме си и манатарки в масло, които бяха не добре сготвени и горчиви, пържените им картофи за съжаление, не малко от тях бяха сурови, но поне не бяха бланширани..Масите бяха мръсни и неподържани. Като цяло някои неща бяха доста вкусни, от други се разочаровахме и определено има какво да се подобряви в обстановката, обслужването и кухня. Топ качество!
