A great restaurant tucked amidst a village in the hills, the food here is creative and cooking well executed (albeit some of the flavour combinations are interesting but not to my taste). The service is also knowledgeable (I was personally served by the owner so I can’t complain). The value for money is also superb: 50€+ for 5 courses of such quality is hard to beat. Only minor compliant is that given the remote location (you won’t be able to get here without a car), it’s hard to really indulge in their supposedly superb wine collection as well. Amazing! This is not just a dining. It is the experience. We got 7 courses tasting menu and each of them was just delicious. Well balanced, tasty and beautifully composed. Veal was so juice and soft. Salmon fresh and smooth. Gnocchi creamy and elegant. Highly recommended!! A-MA-ZING!!! Worth every euro, and it is not even expensive. They really share their passion for food in every little detail and the food is mind blowing! We had the best deer in our lives and every dish was unique. Flavours we didn’t know could be combined and textures we’ve never experienced. Everything fresh, everything delicious. We got the 7 course menu and ate there for almost three hours and it was the happiest 3 hours I’ve ever had eating. If you are foodie and you are anywhere nearby, you have to come here! Make sure to call ahead and get a reservation! Lovely food experience in a small food-loving village. We had a 7-course tasting menu and let the staff choose the wines. Beautiful presentation and the patio is a butterfly's heaven. (The only downside is that it is still allowed to smoke in outdoor spaces which doesn't go well with a taste and smell activity.) Extra plus for allowing us to park our campervan for the night. Very, Very nice restaurant in small village. Fine dining, Michelin-star worthy, for a reasonable price. The menu is showcasing locally sourced ingredients that elevate each dish. Dishes are representing tastes of the Karst and Brkini region that Chef Ksenija prepares creatively and with modern twist. Since we can never decided which dishes to order (all are amazing), we always choose 7 - course menu ☺️ The whole team is genuinely passionate about the food they serve. And the warm welcome always makes us feel as we are coming home. One of the best meals I've had! We had a seven course choose-your-own degustation with wine recommended by the staff. The food, wine, service and atmosphere were all flawless, and it was very reasonably priced for such a high quality experience. Omg. Truly an exceptional culinary experience, WELL WORTH the trip to the country. Bested every restaurant visited in Venezia by light years.
