A really interesting museum, showcasing the civilisations of the three main communities of Ioannina: the christian, the muslim and the jewish one. These communities have lived together in Ioannina for ages and have a lot of shared history. I consider this a symbol of peace between these communities, as it is a reminder that there is space for everyone to live together. Interesting collection of exhibits. A nice letting museum, located in an ottoman fort which is worth a visit on it's own. Fascinating, especially the costumes. Look out for the madrassa An absolute must see in Ioannina! The mosque has been beautifully turned into a museum. Exhibits are interesting, most impressive to me is the architecture and decoration. Πολύ καλό A very moving place which shows how the three communities (Muslims, Jews and Christians) lived happily together in the 19th century, before the 20th catastrophes. It also allows to quietly discover the beauty of the interior of a preserved 17th century mosque, which is very rare everywhere else. Beautiful area of the old Ioannina castle, but on the north-eastern side, which receives less attention than the south-eastern side, where the Byzantine is located. Nonetheless worth a visit and a stroll. Once the hammam and the library are restored, alongside the main buildings, this area will hopefully get the attention it deserves! Small in size but very beautiful place Beautiful and interesting in a former mosque, but the dome of the mosque has been erased, too bad! Όμορφη εμπειρία Jolie petit musée dans l'ancienne mosquée. λόγω των παραπάνω θα μπορούσε να υπάρξει μείωση εισιτήριου προσωρινά Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
