Had vegetable soup or should I say that is what I ordered. Tasted of potatoe and hot water. Bland tasteless wouldn't be surprised if from a packet disgusting no sign of vegetables. Then had chicken and brie panning. Dry and tasteless. €14 for a horrible lunch. I will not be returning. My sandwich was chicken salad was a 1, but the chicken and mushroom vol au vent was good and the goat cheese tart was really tasty. Nice wee spot for a cuppa and dessert , loved the display section of freshly made food. Very good coffee and big slices of cake was great and fast but food was not very flavorful. Coffee was great. Had breakfast here with family this morning, was and pricing for food was very reasonable. As finishing up our food my partner and I started to both feel unwell. We hadn't had anything eles to eat that day until this breakfast and never feel unwell after having a meal, between the three of us there we narrowed it down to either the eggs or milk that may have been out of date or gone off. One of us had a scone and black coffee, one veggie breakfast and iced coffee and myself pancakes and flat white. We thought it was most likely spoilt milk as it was only after we had our coffees that our stomachs turned. It was disappointing and put a damper on the day and this cafe, as otherwise it was a nice local cafe with decent prices and staff. The staff here are so friendly it’s to see, food is also and reasonable priced, love popping in for tea and a BLT and a sneaky cake from their beautiful dresser! Bought a few coffees to go, and a slice of carrot cake. Staff were so and was fairly quick. Coffees were great for a rainy day and the cake serving was plenty with a moist sponge. Nice local spot!
