Familierestaurant Ootje Konkel

Purmerend, Netherlands Pancake restaurant

Very nice place close to the coast of the IJsselmeer with good food; big portions for a reasonable price. Staff is very friendly and good looking. Clean toilets and ample parking. Visited during school holidays so it was very busy and noisy with lots of children and acoustic not great. Outdoor terrace and pancakes good yet slightly overpriced. The biggest plus for us was that they offer two free camper parking spots to spend the night. My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant while cycling through North Holland, and it turned out to be a fantastic find for two hungry adventurers. Even though the place was fully booked, the waiter kindly managed to get us a table. We had sweet pancakes with drinks. Everything served quickly and absolutely delicious. Lovely little place tucked in overlooking a little lake. We went without reservation on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. They still accommodated us. Good variety on the menu, huge portions, really delicious food. Alomg with all this the staff is really courteous and attentive. What more could you ask for. Ow if you have little children there's a little play area, some old school video games (for the child minded too) and a little surprise gift bag for the little ones. We're definitely going back there ! Highly recommend if you're in the area. This was the second visit during our one-week stay in the Netherlands, and we're happy we went there again. The personnel was super friendly and immediately offered a spare table, even without a reservation and during rush hour. Food was served very fast and hot, and it tasted delicious. This is definitely a recommendation for delicious Pannekoeken. Food was really good. We were seated on the patio, which was not as cozy as inside but fresh air and a bit more quiet. Service was done by typical holiday local youth workers, which was fine but clearly not educated to do that job… needed to ask for some things twice etc. The pannekoeken were great! Lovely place, friendly staff and as I'm biking around the Netherlands power supply to charge the phone and powerbank is hard to find, here they gladly put some power back into that and the pancake has put some extra power in me to keep going it was very tasty and for me personally just about the right size, bigger and i would burst open. I had the Roze rakker, "Pink Buddy" looks great, tastes even better. A single Deck terrace at the back and a terrace and serre area at the front of the establishment, looking out over the water, the interior looks nice, and a comfy place to eat and not just pancakes too. Although they are deservingly famous for them, on a sidenote have to come back to try the "regular menu" hamburgers here. The place is super nice and relaxing. The restaurant is super nice inside and outside, we really enjoyed the lunch but the prices are a bit too expensive in my opinion because a naturel pannekoek is 7,50€ and each ingredient you want to add is from 1.50€ to 3.50€, for example my mom ordered ham and cheese with champignons and we paid 18€ almost like a steak 😄! I'd go again for the place but not especially for the food! I recommend it 👌 Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
