Peaceful and quiet campsite, warm and welcoming owners and plenty of space. They keep the grass cut well and the bathrooms are perfectly clean. We've been on a 3-week-trip with a tent and this campground was our favourite. We extended our stay for another night (former 2 to 3). I mostly liked the personal atmosphere this campground has. It's not touristy or even overpriced. Highly recommended! One of the best campsites in Denmark we found. If you're into a simple but beautiful campsite, this is it. Amazing location. Self service check-in and -out. Very clean sanitary building, acceptable kitchen and refrigerators. Good playground and nice (but very shallow) swimming. Totally quiet. Nature camping at its best. Great breakfast and coffee at the cafe at the edge of the village. A little nice place on a whide area. This Camping ist one of the beautiful and best, because there ist many love put in it. Thank you Knut for the nice place and the nice time on thurø. UNFRIENDLIEST PLACE IN WHOLE DENMARK! The owner is rude and arrogant. He didn’t say hello or anything, just told us off and told us to leave for no relevant reason. He probably didn’t like our old camper as there were only fancy expensive ones. They advertise with beach camping but there is no swimming option and when the water is low it smells like hell on this side of the island. The toilets are a steep climb up a hill (not recommended for elderly). We asked around on the island because we where shocked about the owners behaviour and we had to find out that not many here seem to like him. Not recommended. There’s another camping ground called “Thurø Camping” where we were welcomed warm-hearted and served super nicely even after the operation hours. Super kids friendly, awesome cooking and toilet facilities, playgrounds and right to a “real beach”. Go there!
