The activity of Neculai Popa, a priest passionate about history, to research and dig around the area lead to art in different forms and also collecting old things. He definetely loved and understood the Romanian spirit, which resides in the countryside and the old habits, even if degraded by communism and importing+copying Western patterns. This is a privately owned run by a rather unusual guy with help from his family, particularly his sister who served us lunch. The exhibits are housed in an around a building with interesting architecture. There are all manner of artifacts pertaining to Romania as well as a collection of coins from all over the world. The stone sculptures are all his own work and rather unusual and big. We later had a very traditional lunch cooked by the family. A very interesting place to see. Wonderful living museum. Tours can arrange for a traditional dance routine such as : ursul, capra, hora ,batuta. You can touch some of the things in the museum. The showcases traditions and items from the life in the local country side. This is very amazing! It's wonderful bscause you can see many romanian folk objects, costumes, decorations and many collections. I belive that , this place it's a must see in Romania! Absolutely amazing! The B&B was very quiet and pleasant. The property has amazing flowers and the owner was very nice. One of the best places I stayed in Romania! The is great as well.
