Some of the trails are currently blocking due to the tress being down after Storm Éowyn. A Great Little Escape! Drumboe Woods is fantastic, and it doesn't cost a thing! It's a really nice, short walk, perfect when you want to get out into nature quickly. We loved having the small river or water nearby; it makes the whole place feel super peaceful. It's great for anyone who wants to go for a stroll, and if you have a dog, they'll absolutely love it here too. Just a heads-up, there aren't any toilets, so keep that in mind before you go. Definitely recommend checking it out! Schöner Ort zum spazierengehen. Lovely wood with a few different walks, currently full of bluebells. Such an asset to the twin towns. Beautiful scenery with short and long trails suitable for different fitness levels, young children and joggers. A lovely peaceful with easy pathways. Loads of noise if there is a football match on. Dog dingles on the trail (it really puts me off) Arrived at picnic area and my kids took a stroll into the woods (10 metres) and stepped in human matter !!! There are no toilet facilities. So obviously someone alleviated themselves there. That’s totally off. Ards forest is much better ! Will never return If crisp packet undergrowth and plastic bag trees are your thing, go here. So much litter. Gross. Lovely place, very nice for walk. You can spot a squirrel from time to time ! We stayed overnight in the motorhome for the donegal v Armagh match nice and quiet place.
