Still, area to walk around, there's a park so great for a casual stroll. Saw lots of birds and flowers on our walk. Also a tiny waterfall and a devil's Den. This is the place where Daugava meets old ruins, so full of romance and history. You'll get the best view with sunny weather. There is also a walkway by the river to the Likteņdārzs. Skaisti arī tumsā. Ruiny położone niezwykle malowniczo. Kawał historii kilku krajów. Teren uporządkowany, dużo tablic informacyjnych, spory parking i park obok. Bardzo warto odwiedzić One of the most in Latvia. I really hope that one day we will be able to all the walley which is under the water now Pilsdrupas pēc 100 gadiem vairs nebūs (brūk). Could explore all areas of the without any restrictions, went on a week day and didn’t see anyone else. Worth the detour if driving by. We made a weekend out of our visit to koknese by staying to Divas Upes. Great views. We came for Sakraj Latviju magnet. They waited for us a few minutes after working hours. Perfect evening. Very interesting to go there and explore these ruins. Lovely place to visit if you are not far away, we visited in stormy/windy weather and had such fun, we was only people around so enjoyed it. Entrance was 2 € from person, so it’s affordable and have lovely park around it so can have some good walk as well. Amazing place to visit. Easy to find, tickets were pretty cheap (2.50€ for adult), right next to Daugava river. Very interesting ruins. Clean and well kept. For anyone visiting from abroad, I recommend this place for sure.
