They don't hate tourists and ignore the fools that say so 😕 It is not perfect here, but the 5 stars are for the fact that you can swim for free here, just south of the marina area. There are some food trucks here with rotating things happening. I grew up nearby, and this place will always hold a special place in my heart. My aunt and uncle stored their smaller boats here. Both when I was quite young in the late 1960s and into the mid-1970s. And upon return from 1984 to about 2013. We also used to swim at the private club nearby in past times. Not much has changed other than it being more popular. Nice little cafe here and reasonably priced, considering this is essentially a resort area. Ardenza is a gem. Unfortunately, more and more people have discovered this, and nearby Livorno has really grown since we first lived here 5 decades ago. My aunt and uncle both retired here, 30 and 25 years ago, respectively. My mother and grandmother both lived here before I was born. Yes, I am biased to the positives. Parking is a challenge. Motorscooters have really taken over the last 30 years or so. Do allow extra time and extra distance away for parking. Be a decent human, don't be the arrogant entitled tourist 😕 The people are very kind, and respect goes both ways.
