Nice venue room at the top of the building. A bit flooded when high tide and wind. Outstanding attempt by the Tuscany tourism to creat an evening second to none Unfortunately not a good experience for a tourist. At any time you go in the morning, even if it is very early and all the sunbeds are empty, you are told that all good places are already reserved. All sunbeds are on pontoons (do not think there is a beach here) and are very cramped. At noon when it gets crowded, the noise of conversation becomes deafening. If you want to have a relaxing day at the beach do not make the mistake of coming here. And it's a bit expensive. An amazing experience. It seems to be in an Agatha Christie's book, since the place seems still in the 20s.... the service and the location are really nice and comfortable, but the feeling to live in another era is really the best part of the day Should you decide to have a sea day in Livorno don't waste your money in this old, shabby place crowded with thousands of people huddled like animals on a sea of concrete. The water of the sea is also dirty, near to the harbor an the city drainage. You'd rather head a few kilometers south were you will find many free rocky beaches in a pleasing landscape and better water quality. Avoid on high days and holidays. Sundays and from June to September. Entry fee paid gives a day-tripper zero hospitality - Here you can expect no choice of were you are placed unless you own/rent/subscribe into this antiquated utopia (it was a joy to see so many bathers mingling so close together). The Resturant/bar/toilets/pools were so over crowded and any space between the sun bed pots so busy with traffic - it was astonishing to see it worked No for me and my wife from KENT it wasn’t- As paid entrants we were stationed directly in front of the toilets with the last few vacant plots between us and the luckier hundreds - pleading we were unable to bag somewhere less humbling- Yes we were pitched up - and how we laughed at our resilience to being mocked by passers by Plot 72 - a very ‘convenient’ sun-bed plot Please be warned DO NOT PAY TO ENTER There is no reason to visit this place Over priced Over crowded ( occupied by large families - all paying in advance - tag entry and ghostly sun beds laid out unoccupied) Hostile attendant extorted high than expected cost for 2 sun beds and one umbrella €34) Entrance fee €7 per person If this is affordable to you and will bear the unkind service we received then - good luck to you We won’t be visiting ever again The staff is not pleasant nor kind. Prices are too high for a family. The swimming pool is actually the sea but protected from the current. There is no sand, only concrete. The water is ok. The rocky bottoms attract fishes but also jellyfishes (many). Toilets are clean. The showers are very cool with little flow. We tried, we won't come back. I do not recommend it to anyone. I think it’s a public bath from Victorian period - locals seen to enjoy washing and meeting there - families congregate food consumed - I would not recommend it to holiday visitors unless you wish to study extreme social endurance I left after paying entrance fee as the chair attendance would not provide me with a sun bed and umbrella unless I was placed in very poor locations - I felt very unwelcome - for a lady on here own this was not kind Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
