The building is pretty and in keeping with the ambience of nature and woodland. We stopped for lunch here. It was OK but the food was, while filling, not the most authentic in so much as it didn't use local produce. Fine for something to eat but don't get too excited. Very limited options for vegetarians. Lovely setting, especially nice to watch the ducks walk around. The Papuk mountain is a place of tranquility. Wonderful nature all around, the sounds of water and buzzing bees/insects, amazing views of clear blue sky with picture-perfect clouds on a sunny day. This mountain lodge where you can eat or drink something is just what one needs when wanting to get away from the urban hectic atmosphere. A small souvenir shop nearby. Go visit, it is really nice. Great place for R&R. Mind only that restaurant works from 12:00. But you have open bbq places alredy set up. Recommend trout in restaurant. Setting is good, and the park is nice, but this mountain food quality is bad. The house is also not ecological, each glass or cup we got is either plastic or paper combined with plastic which is impossible to recycle. It is also expensive. We do no recommend this place. EDIT: we got stomach problems later in the day when we ate there. I think they don’t change their frying oil. If you have to, eat only fresh cooked food. Planinarski dom je za preporučiti, u srcu Papuka. Not a dog friendly place. Dogs are not allowed inside. It is impossible to consume ordered food outside the restaurant so you cant enjoy food with your pet. Shame for a mountain home. It is great it you are planning to hiking around and bring your own food. Great for having walks in nature, as well for whole day trip with children. There are places you can have barbecue on open space, and if you would like to have sleepover, you can have in mountain house (with bathroom and hot water) for really cheap price. Cheap (especially if you are member of Croatia's Mountaineering Association) but cozy and comfy accommodation in a Papuk Nature Park. Five kilometers (approx three Miles) of steep gravel road leads you to a secluded forest heaven with a lake. My friend and I couldn't resist and wolfed down hunters beans (their specialty) at 9 AM ;-) The cheapest accommodation is in rooms without bathroom but the communal bathroom (and the showers) are clean an roomy. We have enjoyed our day and night there. Nature is stunning and the food at Mountain Lodge was simple but very tasty. We have booked a room in Mountain Lodge which was simple but clean and we could sleep there very good. The personal was very welcoming and friendly. We get in restaurant, 3 people sitting together smoking inside, tell us to order food at bar as they didn’t feel like coming at the table. Then we get plastic cutlery and mc donalds style boxes with food inside, served on a dirty table. Very sad place, and no icecream for kids on a nice sunny day. This place should not be allowed to serve food. Forest and waterfall is beautiful. Planinarski dom Jankovac je uvijek bila omiljena stanica na šetnji do slapa, mjesto koje ima poseban šarm. Hrana je ukusna, a bilo bi lijepo da se koriste materijali ekološki prihvatljiviji (a ne najjeftinija plastika), što bi još bolje odgovaralo prirodnom okruženju. Čorbanac je trenutno preskup u odnosu na količinu i kvalitetu, što je primjetan pad u usporedbi s prije nekoliko godina. Ipak, atmosfera, ljepota šume i slap Skakavac čine posjet i dalje posebnim i vrijednim svakog dolaska. Dobra hrana i uslužno osoblje Već nekoliko mjeseci imaju samo grah, barem kada smo mi bili u domu. To možda i ne bi bio problem da je grah jestiv i da nije toliko jako začinjen. Drugo, apsolutno sve se poslužuje u jednokratnoj plastici, hrana, kava, čaj... ne znam jel tako samo vikendom kada su gužve. Pitam se koliko se plastike baci nakon samo jednog vikenda. Update 21.09. nedjelja. Izbor hrane se svodi na 3 vrste jela, po meni ispodprosječne kvalitete no ovaj put jestivo ako ste gladni. Štrudla je dobra. Nažalost, i dalje je sva hrana i piće posluženo u jednokratnoj plastici, čak i ako sjedite unutar restorana. Čudno za restoran u Parku Prirode. Navodno nemaju dovoljno osoblja za pranje suđa. Objekt s puno potencijala ali iz nekog razloga je sve poprilično loše. Bolje ponijeti svoju hranu i uživati na livadi. Hrana suha hladna,Desert ima okus po čarapama iz drugog svjetskog rata,ako hoćete smrdljivog martina po hrani slobodno dođite,sve skupo a nema pitke vode,Sve skupo.💅🏼💅🏼💅🏼 Pomfri hladan meso hladno nema pitke vode pice uzasno skupo , na zidu bube i necisto nebi preporucio najgorem neprijatelju.
