Not only were the staff attentive and great with the kids, but the facility is really clean and accommodating as well. It was a great experience and we'd recommend it to anyone. The place is a little rugged but they try to keep it modern. Feels a little aged. Especially in the lockers and showers you arrived back in the 90ies. From formerly 3 squash courts only 1 is left and that one is hardly playable due to damages in the front wall and too much dust on the ground. Really good are the Ninja area. Offers also other interesting activities like soccer golf and soccer pool billiard. We went there for a birthday party with a group of 9 years old, we went two hours climbing, each kid climbing at a time was secured by two others on the ground, so it was not boring even for those not climbing. The kids had great fun and we could order pizza that were delivered. Marcus was very patient with the children and offered us a coffee, thanks a lot! The hall was quite large, there was a lot of space for all enthusiasts (on a Jan Sunday afternoon) I mainly visit this place for and every time I go to one of the bigger places, I am reminded that sometimes quality routes and a very good customer service are more important than size and location. Ever since me and my wife started bouldering, I have been looking forward to our trips to the Sportpark every week. They regularly change routes on parts of their walls, so you will always find new challenges. Every route, even the easy ones, are crafted with the intention to teach you a useful skill that you can use when you tackle the next grade. Grading is handled with numbers, not colors, and you will usually find enough routes for every grade to keep you busy a long time. The employees habe always been helpful and enthusiastic about showing beginners and even more advanced climbers the ropes (if asked for of course). If I had to point to one negative, Sportpark Kelkheim is located a bit outside of Frankfurt and you will probably be able to reach it with public transport, however, I would recommend going by car. I am excitedly looking forward to what I will find at the Sportpark the next time we go there. We have been visiting this place for for a year. This is my favorite place around! They change the routes every week, so they always have new challenges to solve. The place itself is also big. There are lockers to keep your valuables and you can borrow climbing shoes if you don't have one. They also have a small shop where you can buy climbing gears (shoes, chalk, etc.).
