Good aire in dry weather but a bit mucky when wet. The town is worth visiting but the walking opportunities are limited as the coastal footpath ends at a busy road not far from the aire. This is not your normal Aire. It has more of a campsite feel about it. It was quiet when were there, no more than half a dozen other units. It is an easy walk into a very pleasant town where there are numerous places to buy food. But it will cost you €12.44 per night plus €4 one-off charge to buy a campsite card that you can use on other sites. This is not made clear from the start. We did not find it easy to get through the entry process but there is a helpful English speaking person at the end of the phone. You could view it as a campsite without showers or toilets. You do get a 6amp hookup. This suits us just fine. Lovely spot right by the river. Next to a playground and skateboard park, so stay away if you don't like the sound of children's laughter. 5 mins walk into a quiet, beautifully quaint town. For once the WiFi works too! Spacious and quiet overnight stop. Not much in the village. We had problems exiting and the online support didn't get back to us for 3 weeks! We had to phone for help and managed to get sorted in the end. nice grassy pitches and lovely views down the estuary...the town was a bit disappointing as everywhere seemed closed... could of just been bad timing on my behalf We visited this motorhome site in late November 2017. The site is used by locals as a dog walking area, childrens playground and general muddy public footpath. May be different in summer but in November this is a poorly maintained very muddy site. There is no security as a public footpath runs through it. The waste bins were overflowing and the pitches are risky for motorhomes in the winter. In short, a waste of money and insecure. Nice place for camping with clean facilities and beautiful views. It's a shame there is a slaughterhouse opposite and you hear the awful cries of the animals day and night. We were very upset by this and I am worried about how ethical this slaughterhouse is. We have stayed at this campsite three times now in the last three years and the screams from the animals are always the same. Nice place, no Wifi. A major disadvantage is the fact, that a huge slaugthterhouse is located directly opposite on the other side of the river. The cries of horrified dying animals can be heard day and night quite loudly. If you can live with that… Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
