A first monastery existed here already in the 5th century but was destroyed by Norman invasions. Unfortunately, the Abbey opened 13:30 on a Sunday, and i was too early. There was a church and a chapel that were open, and I could visit. The entire area is very nice. The abbay itself: only the to be visited. If you like gardens, fine, otherwise visiting the surrounding buildings (for free) is sufficient. Very nice 3hectares with lovely rest of an abbaye. The guide was quite knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. Lovely photo expo. Personally I didn't like the actual pictures but the pictures within the was a fantastic initiative 👌 definitely recommend the visit Well maintained garden. Clean toilets Cafe and souvenir shop Parking nearby. 8 euro entrance fee, its worth it ! So beautiful and so interesting in The most quaint french town. There is a cafe, gift shop and museum/gallery which was all really nice but the gallery exhibition was only in French which in our experience seems to be normal in this part of Brittany hence the 4stars. Still I couldn't recommend a visit hear enough especially to a gardener it's a dream day especially in early summer. Beautiful and well organized place. Medicinal was really interesting. I visited during the pandemic and was pleased with the hygiene and thoughtfulness concerning distancing and protecting the visitors. Disappointed by the person at the tourist office at the entrance who turned me and my 4-year-old daughter away. My girl had a stomach ache and needed to use the bathroom, and we were told to look for one in town. It’s really a shame to refuse to let a poor child from visiting the WC. Not very friendly for tourists or families. A lovely place, where "rêveries" are welcome. It is so quiet, but also so interesting : you'll discover medicinal plants, a great to walk around, a chapel and some monastery ruins, but also a nice exhibition inside the main building (changing every year) and a café where you can have a lunch or some snacks. I simply love to visit it each year! Wonderful and peaceful place! The gardens around is amazing Very nice. Would recommend a visit.
