Ειναι πολυ ομορφο τοπιο προτιμοτερη διαδρομη απο αμυγδαλεωνα,εχω αναπτυξει αναλυτικα την περιγραφη της προσεγγισης προς τον καταρρακτη μαζι με σχετικες φωτογραφιες αλλα δυστυχως η google δεν το εμφανιζει.Ντροπη τους. Ένα υπέροχο μέρος για πεζοπορία.Η φύση στα καλύτερα της.Εύκολη πρόσβαση για μικρούς και μεγάλους. Μέρος που αξίζει να το επισκεφτείς όλες τις εποχές του χρόνου. Πράσινο , νερό, δέντρα σκιά και μέρη για να αράξεις να φας το κολατσιο σου ή να πιεις έναν καφέ μέσα στη φύση. Έχει και μονοπάτι για περπάτημα που δεν είναι κάτι ιδιαίτερο από άποψη δυσκολίας. Ένας παράδεισος μικρός κοντά στην πόλη. Εχει στερέψει προς το παρόν αλλά ίσως είναι παροδικό το φαινόμενο λόγω βροχοπτώσεων. Θα δείξει. Great place to visit and get a little bit different experience in Greece. The whole trip is great, we went with two cars with our hosts that wanted to show us this. One was down in the bottom of the walking tour and near waterfalls, and the other on the top of the tour, so we did not need to walk down later on. Η διαδρομή που ξεκινάει από το εγκαταλελειμμένο λατομείο και καταλήγει στην Παλιά Καβάλα ή και το αντίστροφο είναι μαγευτική. Ανηφορίζοντας σιγά σιγά προς την Παλιά Καβάλα, διασχίζεις ένα πανέμορφο λαγκάδι κατάφυτο από πλατάνια και πολλά ακόμη είδη δέντρων. Τα νερά που τρέχουν γάργαρα σχηματίζοντας μικρές λιμνούλες, η πυκνή βλάστηση και το ελάχιστο φως που περνάει ανάμεσα από τις φυλλωσιές σου δημιουργούν την αίσθηση πως από στιγμή σε στιγμή θα ξεπροβάλουν οι νεράιδες του παραμυθιού και θα σε παρασύρουν στον γοητευτικό τους χορό. Με λίγα λόγια, η διαδρομή είναι υπέροχη, σχετικά εύκολη και την προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα. Κρίμα που λόγω της λειψυδρίας των τελευταίων ετών οι καταρράκτες δεν είχανε νερά, αλλά λίγο παραπάνω στη διαδρομή κάνουν την εμφάνιση τους μέχρι και το πέρας της πορείας. Για όποιον τον ενδιαφέρει υπάρχει και η συνέχεια του μονοπατιού, που είναι ο "δρόμος του νερού" και καταλήγει στην Καβάλα. It's a magic place. It would be perfect if visitors did not trash the place with plastic bags, coffee cups, old tires, plastic bottles and all things discarded around Δήμαρχε Καβάλας, όποιος κι αν είσαι, πού είσαι;;;;; Διαφημίζεις τους στερεμένους καταρράκτες παλαιάς Καβάλας ως attraction για τους επισκέπτες δίχως να ντρέπεσαι; Αλήθεια τώρα; Κάναμε τόση διαδρομή μέσα από το δύσβατο, εντελώς παρατημένο μονοπάτι για να αντικρίσουμε έναν ξερότοπο; Σοβαρά; Τα γεφυράκια σπασμένα, τα ξύλινα υποστηρικτικά στηρίγματα γκρεμισμένα, νερόμυλος σφραγισμένος, το μέρος που τόσο διαφημίζετε έχει εγκαταληφθεί πλήρως και καταρρέει. Τουλάχιστον πάψτε να το αναφέρετε ως αξιοθέατο για να μη παραπλανατε τους ανυποψίαστους τουρίστες που διόλου δεν σέβεστε. Αισχος και ντροπή παραμυθά δήμαρχε. Μαρτιος 2025 Εχει στερέψει το ρέμα. The road on google maps isn't marked well. The easyest way is to go from down the hill, you can go by car a little, after by foot. If you prefer long walks go trough the city, but wear adecvate equipment/ clothes for hiking. Long sleeves, long pants, boots and so on. maybe there is after the winter snow starts melting. nice hike trail, though. Αν σε αρέσει η φύση και η πεζοπορία και ειδικά το περπάτημα αξίζει να το επισκεφθεις!!!Εγω το επισκέφθηκα σήμερα μετά από αρκετή ταλαιπωρία διότι η χάρτες και το Google Maps σε βγάζουν πάνω σε ένα κεντρικό δρόμο καμία σχέση !!!Η ταμπέλα είναι αρκετά πιο κάτω αν κατηφορίζετε θα την δείτε στο αριστερό σας χέρι και ανάποδα (λίγο προσοχή ) αν έρχεστε από κάτω θα είναι στο δεξί σας χέρι!Η διαδρομή πολύ όμορφη το μέρος πανέμορφο αλλά δυστυχώς νερό δεν υπήρχε πολύ στενάχωρο όλο αυτό και αυτό φυσικά οφείλεται είτε στον καιρό και στις εποχές που διανύουμε καθώς δεν βρέχει και φυσικά δεν χιονίζει στα βουνά είτε κάποιοι από εκεί έχουν απωθεσει νερό για τα ζώα και την καλλιέργεια μέχρι στιγμής άγνωστο!!! Nice place to visit Thanks to an article on the net (Visit Kavala - the instructions are detailed and clear) we managed to find the starting point (west entrance) at a stop on your right where a dirt road goes down crossing wild mini-tomato fields leading to the wooden fence you see online, and still it was hard to orientate as there wasn't even one sign or an arrow. We're used to hiking on different and complex routes and trecks but at least they could clean the path leading to the "wooden fence" from the pictures online. General comment is that the whole must be cleaned from plants and bushes, more signs must be placed or at least markings like in mountains. The place is a good get-away. Starting from the west entrance you go till the east where the path joins with the Waterway trail. Here you have 2 options - go back along the same route or climb up the hill (100 m) to take the asphalt road (here you happen be in Palea Kavala) and go back to your car.
